What a brilliant gathering of excellence at the 5th annual @goldhouseco Gold Gala! A room full of trailblazing Asians across entertainment, business, media, sports, and tech all building, creating, and pushing culture forward in their own way. One of the most powerful moments was hearing founder Bing Chen speak about how if others won’t always celebrate our work, it’s on us to recognize and lift each other up. Which is exactly what Gold House is doing. A important reminder that community, support, and celebrating one another matters just as much as the achievement itself ✨ Huge congrats to all the 100 honorees, and the incredible Gold House team for an epic weekend!

When you think about the women who nurture and guide us, so often their love is shown through food. It’s the home-cooked meals, the passed-down recipes, the secret ingredients, the moments spent cooking together, and the memories made around a table. So when @laxmifoodsbrand , a legacy brand that has been part of so many South Asian homes, reached out to partner on a Mother’s Day event, I knew it had to be centered around food. What an honor to bring together a room of beautiful, strong women and celebrate them with an incredible meal by Chef Vikas Khanna, hosted at @bungalowny It was also so special to hear from the dynamic brother-sister duo and co-founders of Laxmi, Amrapali Soni and Neil Soni, as they shared how their mother started this brand that has become one of the most loved South Asian brands in our community. Baby girl turns 15 today and I’m wondering where time keeps going. I wish I could bottle up all these moments and keep her with me forever. Even though she takes my clothes, my jewelry and my dyson, she’s my all time favorite human in this world. I love you my Anya lasagna to the moon and back. Thank you for always bringing so much love and laughter into our little family with your caring heart and your goofy antics. I love listening to you play piano and watching you play softball.
