“ROOTED” explores the tension between the image we present and the truth we feel within, a journey from control and expectation towards breath, grounding and inner awareness.
After taking a small step back from constantly creating, I slowly found my way back to making work again. Moving to the Netherlands gave me space for a fresh start, to reset, reflect and reconnect with myself.
Creating this piece reminded me how much I missed expressing through movement and sharing that process with dancers. Very grateful for every dancer who trusted this creation and put their heart and energy into it ✨

“Heb je even de tijd?”
RUNNING OUT OF TIME is een zoektocht naar de beleving van tijd. Soms lijkt een minuut eeuwig te duren, soms glipt een hele dag voorbij voordat je het merkt. Iedereen voelt tijd anders.
We vertragen waar alles om ons heen versnelt, versnellen juist wanneer stilte dreigt te vallen, en nemen de tijd om onze eigen maat te bepalen. Misschien ontdek je dat stilstaan soms sneller gaat dan rennen. Of dat een uur kan ademen als een seconde.

BARBAAR is a dynamic contemporary dance piece that delves into the rich and complex tapestry of what it means to be a “barbarian.” This performance reinterprets the ancient and modern connotations of the term, exploring the dualities of civilization and wilderness, sophistication and rawness, integration and alienation.

ON-OFF verkent de wisselwerking tussen aanwezig zijn en verdwijnen, tussen verbinden en terugtrekking. De dansers bewegen zich door momenten van intensiteit en stilte, van controle en loslaten. Soms staat alles aan, soms lijkt alles uit. In deze voortdurende schakeling wordt het gevoel zichtbaar van leven in een wereld die nooit helemaal aan of uit staat.
