bye 🙋♂️ thank you 🙏 love you, miss you, bye
I bought an underwater housing on Facebook marketplace place, and now I might be converted.
I NEVER thought I would be working with Nikon… but everything I’m shooting in Indonesia is with a Nikon D800 and a NIKONOS 4 (a 35mm underwater camera from 1985.)
I always knew one day my love of water and camera’s would combine but to be cheating on canon this hard… wow lord help me.
All the photos underwater are nudes (a project for @sophieteaart ) so can’t be sharing any here yet. But we have some incredible negatives and will — definitely be hand printing some of them when we get back to london at @rapideye.darkroom so keep you eyes peeled … and lmk what you think of @nikoneurope I’m maybe going to fully swap… love this old D800 🫶
Portraits of @santo_j - out the studio shooting in the wild.
I’ve always been reluctant to share my personal work especially shot out of the studio. But these 3 scans are my favourite portraits I’ve ever taken.
Here is my dear friend @santo_j in the sea. He encourages me so much to believe in myself and take risks with my work (something that I do find difficult sometimes)
This month I’m shooting something pretty different to my usual studio work. We are working collaboratively with an artist to shoot reference imagery for a collection.
Over the next few days part 1 begins. I will be shooting film underwater. I’m actually so excited as it’s something that I’ve never done before (always wanted to). AND, I’ve done my research, bought new camera’s (geeking out on them haha) and I’ve got a pretty strong vision for what I want to achieve.
I wanted to share these photos of Santo because I guess this is the start of me leaning into myself at work. Can’t wait to show you some of the underwater imagery, I hope you like it.
