This is a tune I wrote 2 years ago and playing it last Sunday was at first very scary but about half way through I found myself having a lot of fun.
As a bass player I've learnt to put so much trust in the amazing people I play with but like many others, I often fail to have complete trust in myself. I think this was a good opportunity to work on that.
In between shows/gigs I'm trying to invest more into myself as an artist which can sometimes to be tricky to find the energy/confidence for. But every time I do take a step forward it's always a deeply satisfying experience.
I'm so grateful to the people in my life that keep urging me to take those steps. I'm very lucky ❤️
(P.S if you listen to this with headphones, I love you. It's a much nicer experience 😅)

My first show in Melbourne is coming and I am very excited and looking forward to playing the classics of Bossa Nova with an amazing group of Australian musicians :
