Remember: early voting is open now through May 15th, Election Day is May 19th, and you need to request a Democratic ballot to vote for me, which you may do regardless of your party affiliation!
The billionaire class is an existential threat to American democracy. Money is power, and that’s precisely why we must achieve a more equal distribution of wealth. The survival of the American experiment depends on it.
“At many stages in the advance of humanity, this conflict between the men who possess more than they have earned and the men who have earned more than they possess is the central condition of progress. In our day it appears as the struggle of freemen to gain and hold the right of self-government as against the special interests, who twist the methods of free government into machinery for defeating the popular will. At every stage, and under all circumstances, the essence of the struggle is to equalize opportunity, destroy privilege, and give to the life and citizenship of every individual the highest possible value both to himself and to the commonwealth.“ - President Teddy Roosevelt, 1910
Our campaign is about getting focused on the root cause of so many of the problems we face today: we’ve allowed dollars to matter more than votes and prioritized profit over people. Until we strip billionaires and special interests of their ability to use wealth to shape our elections, much of what we need to do to fix this country simply isn’t possible.
Getting money out of politics won’t be easy, but we have to do it — and we can. It starts with your vote on May 19th. I would be honored to earn your support in the Democratic Primary for U.S. House in Georgia’s 1st District.

We can’t say voting doesn’t make a difference when primary election turnout hovers around 15% every single year. Let’s get that number up above 50% before we make a judgement about the difference that voting can make, k?
Speaking of which, there’s a primary election in Georgia this Tuesday May 19th. I’m running for Congress in that election to fight for generational change - to get money out of politics, build an economy that works for working people, and start prioritizing the long term well-being of our nation and our planet over the short-term profits of our largest corporations.
If you live in the district currently represented by Buddy Carter (ew), you can vote for me. Ask for a democratic ballot. Link in bio to find your polling place. Bring a friend with you. Thanks 🤙
Truck rant on how American individualism and hero culture keeps young men* from showing up to vote.
Go vote fellas, even though your individual vote likely won’t be the deciding factor. It’s not about you, it’s about us.
* I want everyone to vote of course, but I usually see this particular line of thinking in young men.
Btw if you live in Georgia there’s an election next Tuesday May 19th. Young voters aren’t turning out, and as a result a bunch of 70 year olds are going to decide who gets to call the shots for us. Do you want that?
There’s a link in my bio where you can find your polling place and view your sample ballot, and if you live in coastal Georgia I’d love to have your vote in the democratic primary for US House.
It’s crunch time and we need your help! Stop by PERC at 9 to join our get out the vote marathon or DM me if you can only make it part of the day!
At 4:30 we’ll get together to get some sun in the park, you’ll find us near the bandstand in Forsyth. Bring your own snacks/drinks.
Today is the LAST DAY of early voting! Election Day is Tuesday May 19th. There’s a link in my bio to find your polling place and view your sample ballot. Answering questions from one of Bradwell Institute’s American Government classes! Their teacher asked them to research all of the candidates and develop a list of questions for each one, and these are the three they sent my way:
- do you think the President is doing enough to support the military
- how would you tackle corruption and help those who have been hurt by it
- how would you balance the need for economic development with the need to protect our wetlands
I love that these kids are getting engaged and asking tough questions of politicians! I can tell you did your homework on me by the quality of the questions you asked. Keep it up!
p.s. I forgot to mention in the video that I want to strengthen the clean water act - specifically section 404, which deals with development of wetlands. I think that we also need to investigate why the Rayonier plant in Jesup has been in non-compliance with the clean water act for the last seven quarters.
