Venue Review 08:
ELSE
This was the final stop of a lovely trip to Berlin, and we ended it at ELSE for their Sunday open air, which was part of their opening weekend. The lineup was mega, I’d been wanting to see Rare Dub, Shonky, and KiNK for ages. Marie Montexier stole the show however, such an amazing selector and she didn’t put a foot wrong for four hours. Since then I’ve been listening to so many of her mixes and they’ve all been incredible.
The crowd was beautiful as well, really respectful and everyone was just there to have a good time.
Now onto ELSE. It’s everything Cause wants to be and more. Great sound system inside and out that was perfectly balanced and sounded amazing no matter where you stood. The club’s lighting and production was minimal, but so effective, perfectly matching the vibe of the night.
The club itself is huge, with two rooms, although the inside only opens up in the evening. There are multiple bars around the venue, including rooftop bars. A pint was about £4.50 and long drinks were around £9 which seems reasonable. The toilet queues were minimal too. There was also pizza, which was good, however we did have to wait about an hour, so I’d recommend eating beforehand.
I’ve given a lot of places a 10/10, but I think ELSE is truly deserving. It’s got a top spot on my list of favourite venues and the lineup was so good.
Overall: 10/10
Venue Review 6/7 🤪🤪
Club der Visionaere
MS Hoppetosse
Double whammy this time round. These two venues are paired together, with Club being the more chill spot and Hoppetosse being on a boat.
Club der Visionaere is a weird venue, with the outside geared towards day parties and then a tiny little sweatbox for after-hours activities. On the day we went, the venue was pretty empty and there wasn’t much going on. They had a really good DJ on, however, who very much looked like Ricardo Villalobos, but he was massively let down by the sound system, which was all highs and no bass. This was pretty disappointing, as the last time I visited the sound was so much better. Either way, there was some really cool dark minimal being played most of the time we were there. Overall, I think it’s hard to judge the venue when it’s not at full capacity, so I’ll give it a 7/10.
For the second venue of the tour, we hit MS Hoppetosse, which is set on a boat. This venue is about as real and grotty as it gets. Big speaker stacks across two floors, with a dingy but curated vibe throughout the entire boat. It had a reasonably priced bar and a very nice chill spot. It was a super cool novelty to be partying on an old boat. The music was also great, house and electro, with all the DJs putting in proper shifts. Definitely a club I want to go back to.
Overall: 8/10
Venue review 05:
Æden Berlin
This is the second time I have been to this club on a weekday and it’s okay. Ofc the people I was with were fantastic and we had a lovely boogy.
The venue itself is very impressive and has a super cool smokers and chill area. The lighting is also top notch, one of the cooler clubs I have been into, and helps create a immersive environment.
Downside to this club are that the sound system is pretty quiet both times I’ve been, there is only one toilet room open on a weekday, and the bar tenders are jobs worth’s. The crowd vibe has also been pretty mixed both times I have been, but this could be do more with it being a midweek event then the club itself.
Overall 8/10

10/10
OG venue. Good sound system (recently upgraded 🤤), good drinks, arguably one of the best smokers in any venue. Have seen so many wicked djs in here, and always a good place for a quick dance 🕺
Will always love this place, proper grassroots venue. Good vibes.
Venue review: The white hotel 10/10 venue and a 10/10 selection of djs.
Everything about this venue is perfect, big sound, nice lighting, late finish, and no phones. Proper skatty vibes in there, and less smoke this time round 🤩
@djmoxie b2b @amaliahppeche b2b @niks_bad was a fantastic treat
And of course having a boogie and a truly sendy evening with all of the crew tops it off as a 10/10 night. Thanks to @ziziduffield for the kind hospitality 🫶

No words needed, 10/10 venue. Big sound system, chill security, good smokers.
Also 1000/10 lineup. One of, if not the best, nights I’ve been to.
Little boogie down at electroworkz.
Lovely venue, good sound system and cool rooms. £7 for a white claw 😔 but £5 big jubels 😝😝. Chill security and plenty of toilets.
