I have had the privilege to work with these two super human beings. We created a short film for my solo exhibition ‘The Living Earth’ at The Scottish Gallery.
Glenda @glendarome11 who turned my vision of the film into incredible imagery with her whole heart and Alex @alexcornishmusic who allowed me to use his powerful yet sensitive music for my film to make it extra special! Also a heartfelt thank you, Alex, for your kindness and generosity by adding a composed piece especially for the film!

My short film.
I am always interested in the journey because that’s where it holds the story, the feelings, the struggle, the magic.
“What if I just do it? What happens then?” is a short film I made about stepping out of my comfort zone.
I passed my driving test 6 weeks before my eldest son was born. Highly pregnant and then a new mum, I only drove on slow roads nearby or roads I was familiar with.
I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy which affected me deeply.
I was too worried something would happen.
My eldest son is 16 now.
I did it. I didn’t want to talk myself out of it. I drove to one of the most beautiful Scottish island on the West Coast.

I go into nature to paint, to see, to feel deeply, to connect, to slow down, to be in awe and ground myself of what is important in my life within this ‘noisy’ world.
I feel so fortunate to have the gift of nature right in front of my doorstep but I’m only too aware that there are many people who are not able to reap the benefits of being in nature.

I love how the Bluebell wood changes with the time passing and it happens so quickly! I know the time is limited and therefore it makes it so precious to paint them whilst they are flowering!

I didn’t realise it was that windy and I only took my big board and one big piece of paper with me.
Yes, I could have packed up and come back on a less windy day.
Yes, I could have taken the board off and painted on the ground but the view wasn’t as nice.
If the Skylark can sing his joyous song despite the wind - at least I can give it a try! 💛
