I’d recommend listening to it from start to finish, while looking out the window, on a long train ride or a walk in the woods. It’s weird and experimental music, but also very meditative and calm - we would love to hear what you think about it! :)

Our album “Tensions 1&2” is out today via @wideearrecords 🎉
We recorded improvised music at my atelier with the prepared grand piano and @pascal_sontag 's Buchla electric music box. It was a lot of fun playing together, listening back and putting together an album with this music. And we’re very happy to collaborate with wide ear records for this release.
Tensions 1 & 2 is a musical collaboration of Meret Siebenhaar and Pascal Sontag. They work with the tensions between acoustic and electronic sounds, between manually played and sequenced patterns, and between human intuition and programmed randomness. While Meret plays the prepared piano, Pascal tweaks his Buchla synthesizer. Acoustically and electronically generated sounds come together in new combinations within space and the listeners’ perception. Two 20-minute sets of improvised music — experimental, meditative and physical.
You can listen to the album everywhere but on spotify. The album is also available on vinyl - via wide ear records and pascals and my bandcamp or via DM.

Tensions ist eine musikalische Zusammenarbeit von Meret Siebenhaar und Pascal Sontag. Die beiden arbeiten
mit den Spannungsfeldern zwischen akustischer und elektronischer Klangerzeugung, zwischen manuell
gespielten und sequenzierten Mustern, zwischen menschlicher Intuition und elektronischen Zufallswerten.
Während Siebenhaar ihren präparierten Flügel bedient, widmet sich Sontag seinem Buchla Synthesizer.
Akustisch und elektronisch erzeugte Klänge finden im Raum und in der Wahrnehmung der Zuhörenden in stets

It’s Cloks Tiks third album, building on Routines with a similar fragmented feel.
