@pascal_lally is a shop regular and came to us a while back looking at a new gravel frame.
We brazed him together a Grauel using an 853 main frame with a mixture of Dedacciai and Columbus rear stays.
The elegant bends of the tubes allow us to build our gravel frames to take 700x50 tyres with minimal crimping.
Pascal had a few bits from his previous gravel bike we used, but opted to go for a shiny silver Middleburn chainset, CK headset and Ritchey finishing kit to complement the real talking point here - that amazing paint job.
Pascal had seen another frame we painted with this marbling technique and asked if it was possible to create a fade back to front, rather than fading 2 purples into each other, we achieved the effect with a higher concentration of black towards the back of the frame. It’s subtle but we think it worked really well.
Pascal makes bags as a hobby and made a set to compliment the new bike (the eagle eyed among you may spot there’s a couple of bits to finish on the bags but they look and fit great, not bad at all for a hobbyist!
We’ve got build slots coming up over the summer so if you have a build in mind you would like help with, drop us a line.

Evidence that I have left the ground whilst riding a bike, once. The look on my face suggests I shouldn't do it again. We'll see.
Thanks for the photo Joe @jbtruevisionstudios
Some pretty reflections on Howden Reservoir. We were on out way out to do Cut Gate and as the mist cleared we were treated to a spectacular day of warm weather and dry (as dry as Cut Gate ever gets) trails.
I've been digging through my old photos, retouching them with the bit of extra knowledge I've picked up over the past few years.
This one is taken at Triscombe on practice at round two of the UK Enduro Series in 2016. The corner rider #1 is about to enter is so blown out it was tricky to get round the corner without burying your tyres in a pile of loam. The UK Enduro Series folded after this round.

Back out for day two of our Lakes trip, today heading back over Parkamore and over to Walna Scar. This is the same view as yesterday, just without the mist. Somewhere amongst the background is the wicked descent down Walna Scar.
Lake District Trip Two of this year, this time starting at Hawkshead and heading out to Grizedale and over to Parkamore. It's just as rainy as last time I was here so, so as far as I'm concerned this is the only weather the lake district gets. There was a point where a puddle was so deep, the wave I created on entry went over my face. Epic riding.
A shot from last weekend at Ard Rock. Backpacks carry lots of water. It was warm. My frame didn't crack. My face doesn't look too bad. It was great.

Rob and I were fortunate enough to take a pair of @stantonbikes Switch9ers out on the demo loop. My phone can't do justice to attention to detail on the frame. The paint, the welding, the cable routing, the linkage (the list continues...) have all been throughly thought through, before even getting to how it rides. It's a mighty fine bike to ride - summed up in three words I'd say "fast and planted". Is it the best bike in the world? No one can answer that question, but I can't think of a cooler one, crafted by a truly genuine team. Now just need to work out how to afford one... #stantonbikes

Stunning weekend at Ard Rock, it's as good as ever. We missed practice so raced on Saturday morning last year's memories of the stages. I finished 78th in my category, which, to say the very least, I'm fully stoked about. Just waiting for the Roots and Rain dog to get the site sorted so I can get some race shots.
