Stop/start is based on a simple concept: When the vehicle is at rest, the system automatically shuts off the engine to save fuel and eliminate idle emissions. But when you delve into the technology, stop/start is a bit more complex than just shutting off the engine at a red light.

Repost from @wellsvehicleelectronics • So, you're driving along when the ABS light appears on your dash. What does it mean? What's happening? Is it still safe to drive your vehicle? Get the answers to these questions and more in this week's GoTech training video: https://bit.ly/2T9qBx8 #GoTech #ABS #AutomotiveRepair

We’ve come a long way from the days of manual braking systems, when you had to use your bare feet to stop the car. #TheNetworkAcademy #PartsPlus

Repost from @wellsvehicleelectronics • We've all been there. You begin diagnosing a vehicle problem only to learn you've chosen the wrong path, need to back up and start over. In this week's GoTech video we explore how it happens and what you can learn from it. Enjoy! https://bit.ly/3beQgKM #GoTech #AutomotiveRepair

Repost from @straightlinestrategygroup • Meet the @partsplus crew. Paul works with our hospitality and ensures that our equipment gets from track to track safely and securely. He is staying safe doing his favorite thing... riding his motorcycle. He enjoys exploring in all the different areas of the country we travel to. He is becoming a great cook on a grill. He looks good in his uniform but it is in the race shop waiting for the chance to race again.

Check Tires Even if You Aren’t Driving As many vehicle owners cars sit idle, the non-profit Car Care Council recommends starting your car at least once a week and keeping up with routine auto care to help prevent potential maintenance issues. Make sure to also maintain proper tire pressure to improve vehicle performance and gas mileage. Doing so is also important for vehicle safety. Checking the tire pressure frequently is more important if the car is parked for long periods of time. Vehicles that sit idle too long can develop flat spots, so taking a brief drive every once in a while will help prevent bald spots, and recharge the battery, too. #carcare

Remanufacturing is an industrial process that returns a used, worn or inoperative product to its same-as-new or better condition and performance. The core for a remanufactured part is completely disassembled, analyzed for its failure and then reassembled using a combination of new and refurbished components, resulting in a finished product virtually identical to a new part.
