[SHOWOFF] As I've just reworked my whole website, here's a selection of my latest projects and experiments around immersive installations and interactive experiences. This compilation brings together my videos published on social networks, as a restitution of my R&D around real-time generative digital art as well as the creation of custom installations for institutions, clients or events. Unfortunately some of my latest projects are missing here, but I will share them as soon as possible of course!

Proud to finally unveil my latest creation! 🔥🙌
[Geometry of Emotions] is an immersive, interactive, and generative digital artwork, born from a collaboration with electronic/generative musician @mrlematt . A show specially imagined for @rxp.kl , the largest immersive art space in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)!
Lasting 15 minutes, this experience is displayed in a massive immersive space and includes video projection on the floor and on three walls (20 video projectors), with spatialized sound diffusion (16 speakers). This entire creation is generative and interactive, capable of reacting in real time to the presence of spectators, thanks to a LIDAR sensor! [Geometry of Emotions] uses Unreal Engine 5 for the visuals, and Ableton / Max For Live / XP4L for the spatialized sound. The immersive space is based on a nDisplay system driven by Unreal Engine and Touchdesigner.
[Geometry of Emotions] offers a journey into the heart of our emotions in a world overwhelmed by digital technology, exploring the concept of the duality between geometry/organic, artificial/natural. Through a path intertwining geometric abstractions, figurative elements, and organic movements, this creation provides a contemplative sensory experience. Interactivity here offers the possibility of dialogue, allowing the spectator to influence the artwork and be influenced in return.

Unreal Engine was built to render worlds no one can touch.
TouchDesigner was built to make everything touchable.
The most significant shift in interactive art infrastructure is happening where these two logics collide.
Since Derivative released the TouchEngine plugin in 2022, a small cohort of artists and studios has been dissolving the wall between cinematic rendering and real-time signal processing. @momentfactory ran 13 simultaneous Unreal scenes through 32 media servers for Phish at the Sphere. @nobuaki_kazoe in Tokyo built DEVISION, routing live sensor data into ray-traced virtual stages. @interactiveimmersivehq turned the pipeline into a discipline. The architecture is now clear: TouchDesigner as the nervous system, Unreal Engine as the body it inhabits.
@parseerror is building exactly at this junction, and the sensor vocabulary is what sets the work apart. PipoMotion for full-body tracking. MediaPipe for skeleton detection through a webcam. Homebrew IMU accelerometers translating wrist inertia into spatial physics. Each device feeds TouchDesigner, which decomposes the signal and passes it into Unreal Engine not as a command but as a condition. The environment does not react to the body. It reconstitutes around it.
This is what the convergence produces when an artist treats it as a material rather than a toolchain. Nanite geometry and Lumen lighting deliver a fidelity that no creative coding framework can match. TouchDesigner’s CHOP operators deliver a reactivity that no game engine can replicate. Parse/Error refuses to choose. The installations look like cinema but behave like instruments, and the visitor’s body is the only score they will ever read.
[Marbles] Yet another experiment mixing the Pipo Motion sensor, Touchdesigner and Unreal Engine 5, this time placing the sensor under a screen to make is motion reactive. Once again, thanks @pipo_interfaces for the sensor! :)

[TangibleGrid] A quick experiment mixing the Google MediaPipe plugin in Touchdesigner with Unreal Engine 5. This plugin is a great way to add interactivity, motion detection and skeleton tracking when you have only a simple camera with you, no need for an expensive sensor! Thanks @blankensmithing for the plugin, and hat tip to @yfjsr for the visual inspiration. :)

[GlassBox] Still playing with the PipoMotion sensor, adding rigid body physics and a glass shader into the mix! @pipo_interfaces did a really amazing work on this sensor: fast and easy to set up, low latency, OSC motion data over Wi-Fi... The result is reactive and accurate. Love it! An experiment made with Touchdesigner and UnrealEngine5.

[SpiderBot] Casually playing with my spider robot thanks to the PipoMotion sensor! This new sensor is really easy to set up and will send OSC motion data over Wi-Fi. The data are pretty accurate with low latency. An amazing toy for interactive installations! Thanks a lot @pipo_interfaces for the opportunity to play with it. [Metamorphosis] I keep exploring new ways to implement interactions into my artworks, here I'm playing with RFID to drive the different parameters of a generative system. The goal is to offer the viewer a new tangible and playful way to influence an installation! An experiment mixing an homemade RFID reader with Touchdesigner and UnrealEngine5.
