In December 2015, 59-year-old Duane Hollenbeck left his home in Dryden, New York with a younger couple he knew: Jennifer DeMott and Robert Brooks. Days later, Duane's body was found in Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in Georgia.
What began as a missing persons case quickly unraveled into a multi-state homicide investigation involving stolen money, drugs, and a road trip that would end in violence.

On December 12th, 2015, hikers in Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in Georgia discovered the body of 59-year-old Duane Hollenbeck.
The last time Duane was seen, he was getting into a car with Jennifer DeMott and Robert Brooks. Investigators would later uncover evidence of financial exploitation, suspicious movements across state lines, and a timeline that pointed to something far more sinister than a simple road trip.

On April 27th, 1999, park rangers Danny Blumenthal and Jack Kerwin arrived for a routine morning shift at Oswald West State Park in Oregon.
Within minutes, they were ambushed at gunpoint, bound, and forced into the woods. Both men were shot, and only one survived. Their attacker was caught hours later, but the impact of that morning never faded.

In August 2004, Estevan left Tucson for a solo hunting trip in the Santa Rita Mountains and never came home. Over 20 years later, his case remains unsolved.
The people who loved him remember a hardworking man who knew the mountains, loved the outdoors, and built his life around providing for his family.

In August 2004, Estevan Montaño left for an annual hunting trip. When he didn’t return after three days, his family went to look for him at his campsite and discovered him shot dead in a seemingly random attack.
More than two decades later, the case remains unsolved, but detectives are still actively working it and hope modern DNA and forensic genealogy can finally identify the person responsible.
