I make movies professionally now, but there was a time I did it simply because I was compelled to. Not to pay rent, not because it was an assignment, just purely because I wanted to. I had a passion and drive that I was unaware of. I didn’t think of it as “a calling” or “ambition”, it wasnt any of those terms or conciseness. It just… was.
Rounding up the neighborhood kids, cousins, and my little brother, I grabbed my hi8 tape camcorder and thought I was Steven Spielberg.
Now, I still round up friends and a camera, but I’m not Steven Spielberg this time, I’m Paris Dylan.
