A color that's healed me on Day 4 of
@thevintagefashionchallenge โ๏ธ Yellow was a color I avoided for the longest time-- too announced, too loud, and in a little more of a complicated outlook, I didn't want to wear it because as an Asian American I didn't want to lean into the negative connotations the color had (Power Ranger Trini was a badass but it definitely was a choice to put her in yellow). But then there was THIS dress from
@uniquevintage inspired by the day shopper blue Barbie dress and I couldn't resist-- I had too much blue and red in my wardrobe, and I was ready for a fun change, and this color looked so pretty, soft and buttery. This dress gave me confidence to finally embrace this bold but yet gentle and moving color. Reclaiming the color yellow has been one of my favorite unexpected outcomes since wearing vintage style and it's made styling such an adventure, and easier to radiate my natural warm and welcoming personality, even when I'm not talking ๐คญ๐
