So I read about this abandoned @clubmed compound on Kauai. Sold in 1979 after just six years and devastated by hurricane in 1983. Awesome location to explore and feel like and archeologists on a dig in the jungle including traps and all… #hanalei #kauai #photographerslife #archeology

35 years ago today I was lucky enough to experience a once in a lifetime event - the fall of the Berlin Wall. Although I wasn’t in Berlin that weekend, I went the following Saturday and and many weekends after that. I secured a few pieces of that dreadful concrete structure along with thousands of fellow “Mauerspechte” as the individuals hammering away at the wall came to be known. This piece now hangs in my studio where I can see it every day as a reminder that good things happen too! #mauerfall #november9 #1989 #berlinwall

Spending some time cleaning drives and catalogs and came across this one from a work trip to PNW in 2017. it was the fall when the Columbia river gorge was on fire and there was so much smoke and haze in the air…#photographerlife #oregon #mtjefferson #pacificnorthwest #cascades

So when temperatures rise to 110 (almost 44C) even a very inspiring environment like palm springs does not make me spend hours exploring on foot. So we opted for the comfort of the air conditioned rental car and photographed from the cracked windows. But it does make you want to come back in the stormy winter season, it must be spectacular!

Today we arrived in Ancona and did a straight shot away from the coast towards Umbria. @edritger suggested a little town of #gubbio in the foothills of the northern part of the province. So worth it! Not only the sights but the food was spectacular with a lot of emphasis on the local forests featuring all those good fungi #truffels #porcini #chanterelles etc pp… #umbria #italia
