Picked up three new books to read with my 12-year-old. Have you read any of these?

When a tree died in our backyard, we left 10 feet of the trunk in case a woodpecker decided to call at home. Look who is moving in! Sound up for this one.

Next week is Teach Appreciation Week, so I’ve been making thank you cards. My kids are so lucky to be surrounded by adults who know how to inspire, challenge, and support them. I’m absurdly lucky, too. Raising children and teens is a team effort.

A review to a small business is like a digital high five. It says “I see you, I thank you and I want others to as well.” Word of mouth is still my favorite form of “marketing” because sometimes what’s tried and true feels best and most authentic. Thank you for these kind words @parenthood365 having you in front of my lens is always an honor ✍🏼🤍📖

I started being more intentional about the books we read… & I didn’t expect it to change how my toddlers communicate this much. Instead of just melting down or hearing “calm down”… they slowly start to understand what they’re feeling & how to pause more. And that’s the beginning of emotional regulation. 🙌🏼 Not perfection. Not fewer big feelings. Just more awareness + language + support. 🤍 ➡️ Save this for later & send to a mama who’s in the thick of toddler emotions with you. #toddler #motherhood #emotionalregulation #toddlerbooks #childdevelopment
