This still doesn’t feel real. 1st My heart goes out to the families who lost a loved one, to the countless student-athletes, and to colleagues who were fortunate enough to have Coach Lamar in their lives.

I am especially thankful yet heartbroken for my son, Denzel @denzelchavis1 , who stands today a better man, a better student, a better athlete, and most importantly, a better human being because of the one-on-one time Lamar dedicated to him.

As a parent, I’ve always believed it takes a village to raise a child. When we couldn’t be there, Denzel’s coaches were an extension of us, guiding him both on and off the field. Coach Lamar embodied this wholeheartedly. Knowing the impact he had on my son, I know he gave the same unwavering dedication and love to countless other young boys and girls during his time with us.

Lamar, you didn’t just touch lives, you transformed them. You empowered so many to believe in themselves, often more than they ever thought possible. Your words of wisdom, your unwavering belief, and your genuine care will forever resonate in the hearts of those you mentored.

I’m at a loss for words but feel the need to share my deepest appreciation for you. Thank you for being a part of Denzel’s journey and for all the love and support you showed Paramount Memories.
