⚡️LOCAL ARTIST SPOTLIGHT V2⚡️ Emerging from the MAINZ class of 2017, Sumthn Ethnic (@sumthn.ethnic ) has shared his selections all across the North Island, from the airways of Auckland’s 95bFM to some of the beefiest sound systems in the underground. Having discovered the Rabbit hole that is Half-time Drum & Bass he’s never missed the chance to mix the productions of Shades, G Jones, Saka Tsuruda & many other artists that fit the ‘Deep Bass’ sound into his sets. On his Journey he’s played at many gigs across the North Island, often sharing the stage with names like Paige Julia, Badklaat, Ashez & Waja. ____________________________________ Warea born and grazed, Lachlan Jones, aka Latch (@lowchie ), has been throwing his energy into every set that crosses his path. Mould-infested Dunedin flats were a catalyst for his escape into the immersive world of DnB. Latch has broken through the fourth dimension deep into waters of no return, with DnB playing every waking moment of his life, headphones have become part of his head and his hair follicles have grown a new path. A testament to his dedication to the scene. A Dairy Farmer by trade, South Taranaki based Latch has plenty on his mind but one thing that will never leave him is the kick and snare. Co Head honcho of Ruckus Records (@ruckusrecords_ ), Latch loves to tear up the dance with fast drums and big basslines. With wide variety of selections, it’ll be a swift surrender to the blends coming your way this Saturday.

The foundation of which begins with supporting local DJs and providing opportunities for them to showcase their skills in a professional environment. It’s a pleasure to introduce these two; Codes (@bpmradio_ ) & Sequel (@sequel.dnb ) who will be performing this Saturday @crowdedhousebar ____________________________________ Sequel is a drum and bass producer and DJ from Taranaki. Having moved from New Plymouth to the Capital in 2022, it did not take him long to establish a name for himself. Having supported acts such as Unglued, Mozey, Voltage, Issey Cross and AMC a many more - Sequel is no stranger to the scene. Renowned for selections across Jungle, Jump Up, Rollers and Liquid, Sequel’s sound selections are bound to have you skanking in the dance. Catch him this Saturday for his debut set for Parallel. ____________________________________ Codes is a rising DJ hailing from New Plymouth. Co-runner of local radio show BPM radio he loves his music & is dedicated to the craft. As his first feature on an international line up you can expect a massive set filled with the tastiest tunes & blends. Taking influences from the likes of Kings of the Rollers, Crossy and Amplify, his selections will be warmly welcomed by those who love some dirty jump up. Don’t miss out on this local up and comer!
