If you had told me 2.5 years ago when I could barely get out of bed that I’d be releasing whole album today, I wouldn’t have believed you. But grief has a strange way of showing you how you process things, and this album finally coming out feels like the end of one step in that journey and the start of the next one.
I love Courtney and always will. I’m sad she’s not here, especially today, but I wanted to make her proud with this and I hope I’ve done that. I also hope you’ll get to know her and her light a little better from it, too.
Even though I made a lot of this album by myself in my house, there are loads of people who helped and I want to thank them.
@laurenjmckinney is my manager and the reason this album saw the light of day. She believed in it and made it happen behind the scenes in a way I never could have, and
@ryanedmundson at UTA took a chance to me after Parachute broke up and I didn’t have much going on, and both of them have been true friends throughout everything.
@konradsollsnyder mixed the album and
@masteredbygrover mastered it and made it sound way better than it was when I handed it off to them.
@independentco took a chance on me and helped put this album out, and I’m very grateful to them for that.
