Our impact. Your support. Their dignity.
Since we began, PARA has supported 1600+ Palestinians and 455 families rebuilding their lives in Australia: with housing, healthcare, education, employment pathways, and community.
This is what solidarity creates. This is what your donations make possible.
Every number represents a family finding safety, a student accessing education, a professional regaining their career, a community healing together.
Thank you for standing with us. The work continues.

Last Saturday night, we gathered for the PARA Ramadan Iftar Fundraiser in Melbourne, and it was one of those evenings that will stay with us forever.
We hugged.
We cried.
And there was so much love in the room, despite the pain.
We listened to powerful stories from families who have survived unimaginable loss and are now rebuilding their lives here in Australia with courage, dignity, and hope.
This is why PARA exists.
As we enter the final days of Ramadan, we are reminded that these nights carry immense reward. Charity given now has a special place, especially when it helps relieve hardship and restore dignity.
If you have been thinking about donating, this is the moment.
Your support helps families rebuild their lives, find safety, access education, and begin again.

May your generosity in these last nights of Ramadan bring blessings to your family and relief to those who need it most.

A heartfelt reflection from Ibaa, her homeland in her heart, her memories in her voice, and her unwavering hope through unimaginable pain.
Her story is not just one of loss, but of courage, dignity, and the quiet strength to keep believing when everything feels uncertain.
You have the power to be someone’s reason to hold on, someone’s reminder that they are not forgotten.

Born to parents from the West Bank, Australian-Palestinian singer Heba Tayer uses her soulful voice and talent for connecting with people through music to preserve and share Palestinian stories.
“I think music is such a powerful universal language, it brings people together and creates a sense of community.”
Heba’s passion for music and her storytelling intertwined her path with that of self-taught Gazan pianist Baher Skaik and they often perform together, moving audiences to tears with their music.
This June, @hebatmusic takes the stage in Melbourne alongside Baher once more for A Night of Healing, a night where music, stories, and community take centre stage at Collingwood Town Hall Ballroom. “I’m most looking forward to bringing people together through music and creating a space where everyone can feel connected, reflective, and hopeful for the night,” Heba said.
We hope you’ll join us next month to experience the magic and power of this duo as we come together in solidarity for Palestine.

Qualified Art Therapy Volunteers,
We Need You
At PARA, our work goes beyond relief. Over the past two years, we’ve welcomed more than 500 children who have survived unimaginable loss, pulled from rubble, living with mutism, carrying war injuries, and grieving the loss of their parents, siblings, and childhoods taken from them.
The impact of war doesn’t end when the violence stops. It lives in the body, in memory, and across generations.
Art therapy gives children a language when words no longer exist - restoring trust, identity, and the possibility of joy.
We’re calling on qualified art therapists to volunteer to help us deliver six-month programs across VIC, NSW, QLD, WA & SA.
Help us restore the wings of our little angels.
Submit your Expression of Interest via our volunteer application on our website or email [email protected] by 30 May 2026.

Baher Skaik taught himself to play piano in Gaza.
When the genocide began, he fled with his family, leaving everything behind, including his beloved piano.
Five months after arriving in Australia, he sat down at a piano at Preston Markets in Melbourne and played in public for the first time. A stranger was so moved by his story, they gifted him a brand new one.
His music carries everything he has lived through: grief, resilience, and an unbreakable love for his family and his people.
This June, @baherjourney takes the stage in Melbourne alongside Palestinian-Australian singer Heba Tayeh for A Night of Healing, an intimate evening of music, stories, and community at Collingwood Town Hall Ballroom.
Come and be part of his next chapter. Tickets are on sale now via Oztix. Link in bio 🕯️

PARA is deeply concerned by the comments made by opposition leader @angustaylormp regarding Palestinian visa holders in Australia.
Words directed at entire communities shape whether people feel safe, respected, and included. At a time when families are already carrying the weight of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, broad, unsubstantiated claims add another layer of harm.
Palestinians in Australia have undergone extensive and rigorous visa processes, including multiple, detailed security assessments, checks and reviews. They are doctors, engineers, business owners, and community members contributing to the fabric of this country.
We call on all leaders to engage with facts, not fear. Australia is at its best when it leads with fairness, compassion, and integrity.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I saw every single donation come through and each one helped (1) restore my faith in people in a bleak time; (2) push my body through that big-ass swim. So grateful, folks.
