In February I put a killer band together to play the music of Jerry Garcia & David Grisman and, in the process, we raised over $14,000 for Guitars For Vets. Our lead sponsor, Grateful Guitars Foundation made a $5,000 contribution and a huge difference in the lives of many veterans. Two other wonderful things came out of that event….. we will be performing that music again - this time at Steamworks Creative Community Center on JUNE 5th so that people that want to LISTEN to this music can do so without the chatterboxes. And while that show won’t be a fundraiser, I will also be contributing some time THIS EVENING at Steamworks to talk about playing TOGETHER. Having a musical conversation whether it be with one other musician or a dozen. I’m really honored that G4V has asked me to do this and I’m happy to do what I can for these men & women that laid it all on the line for us.
Tonight is 6-8pm and it’s gonna be a real good time.

The event is open to the public but guitars are for vets only tonight. ❤️🤍💙
First Mother’s Day without you. Was a lot harder than I expected. I’m so glad @maxweingrad took a stroll through Frick Park with me to come and visit you and Dad and then to visit Grandma who sends her love and asked me to take her to you soon. I love you, Mom. ❤️
