Dialing in the RD2.0 Load Transfer Experimental build with advice from @ryankado
After the Team Heartbreak TeamTandem event, I asked Ryan for some advice on how to further improve the movement of my load transfer setup. He ended up flipping the RD2.0's rearmost rear toeblock upside down to help with the pitching, which improved how the chassis loaded up through corners. Thanks again for the help, and for driving in the footage!
Really liking the amount of movement from load transfer on P-Tile now, with worn Yokomo DRCs. A nice lean without flopping side to side, with pitching from acceleration and decel.

Prepping for the 2026 season by revisiting my Hikotech Bianca 2.1. Did some test and tune with the new parts, and feel reasonably satisfied with the changes so far.
While I was in Japan, I managed to get ahold of 64pitch idlers made by Curiosity. This now allowed me to try out the Hikotech Anti-Torque Switching Plate that I obtained last year, since I typically run 64p spur/pinion. I also installed the new Hikotech Sleek Bumper with fins in the rear, and switched to the new Overdose 4Edge springs all around (Single Fronts, Twin rears).
Overall, I like the current direction the new setup is heading towards and hoping I get to dial it in more over the next couple months.

While just short of Top32 due to my secondary judged score, I am proud to have represented Northern California as well as USA on the grand stage. Grateful for all the support back home and on site, from @hotdogracingus , @kuri_to_risu_rc , @jlowshopshop , @door2door_rc and more!
My @weld_overdose HM Galm powered by @acuvance_usa 's MervERA 13.5t RPM rotor was able to put on a valiant fight, putting the potential of the 380 motor on display to the world.
Honored to have been invited to compete on this World stage, and hoping to attend next year!

First Japan Trip: RCDC World Championship 2025 Edition!
This trip has been a blast so far, blowing my expectations out of the water. Meeting familiar faces and making new friends, and competing with the best on the big stage.
Going into qualifying, I was expecting to score around 60s and firmly land in the middle of the pack. Actually being in the running for Top32 was beyond my expectations, and had me nervous for the rest of qualifying 😅.
Ended up at 35th/148 drivers with a score of 78, as the second highest placed American competitor on the field. Team Endless' Anthony Torres threw down a heater, and firmly got into Top32 with 81 pts. RCO/The Establishment Justin Wilming also got 78 pts, but his next highest score slotted him as our 3rd highest ranked American driver. With a stronger showing this year compared to the past, hopefully we can improve and reach higher levels next year!
Thanks to @team.rcoasis for allowing me to join his International Drivers travel group for RCDC, helping facilitate practice sessions and travel destinations as well as rooming during the week. Thank you to Matsuzaki Hayato for helping transport and translating for everyone. Special thanks to @chefragasa Jason for coming in clutch with softer rear springs! And thank you to everyone who cheered me on and supported me during this competition 🙏
Hoping I am accepted next year, so I can aim for a Top32 placement!

Small photo recap of the past weekend, participated in IRCDF's 2025 Finals at Rolling Garage over the past weekend. Got to hang out with both new and old friends, seeing some of the out of town guys one last time before the year ends. Was great getting some of the KBBQ gang together for a Saturday dinner, and then seeing (some) of the PDX boys try Jollibees for the first time Sunday.
I did have the mishap of leaving my chassis behind at Rolling Garage, when I drove homebound on Sunday. Luckily, Donovan @jackmyrc came in clutch and brought my chassis back with him.
With this, I have only one major RC event left this year. Will be heading out to Japan for the first time in two weeks, to participate in RCDC 2025! Excited to attend, and can't wait to experience all that Japan has to show 🫶
Getting some practice in before SDC 2025 Worlds. Testing and finalizing changes to alignment and ESC tune, verifying if I mesh with the changed handling.

With RCDC approaching fast and SDC2025 Worlds approaching faster, here is how my Overdose Galm is set after 6 months of usage.
I am running High Mount with Gear Drive, with Triple Wipers and TC Flex Deck. In compliance with RCDC rules, switched to ReveD 3700mAh LiPo batteries and Addiction RB-16 JZA80 Bomex Supra.
I also took a chance with trying out the new 380motor from @acuvance_usa , the MervERA. Paired with a XarvisXX, the MervERA 13.5t w/ Lv30 Rotor feels great. The weight difference compared to a 540size motor allowed me to relocate and place weights in different areas.

Went to Pittstop's SDC NorCal Regional Finals yesterday, to get practice with my RCDC compliant setup. The switch from Exceed A80 RIDOX Supra to Addiction A80 BOMEX Supra was pretty seamless, but more changes will be made to fit the new body better.
Switching to Acuvance's A'sLab version of my MervERA 13.5 RPM rotor setup was interesting too, needing a bit more drag brake to achieve the same feel I had before. Feels like the motor is smoother, which I believe is due to the change in magnets.
This was my TQ contender run, with judges deciding to 0 the run with the vagueness of my final wall proximity. Better luck next time for trying to TQ, but progress is being made ✌️

New chassis build for 2025, my first Overdose Galm!
After attending Overdose CrossGames 2024 at SuperG last year, I have been slowly collecting parts for my own Galm build. Being inspired by Junta, Ryo, Alfredo and TakeC's setups, I grabbed parts whenever they were available and waited until the early March restock of Galm kits to get one. Got my kit on Thursday, spent the past 4 days putting it together with the parts I have at hand.
Running Triple Wiper/High Mount/Gear Conversion/Ball Diff to start, I am using TakeC's Triple Wiper setting with Junta's ES Knuckle Type 2 to test. Will be needing to buy Front Adj Upper Type 3s and Front ES lower arms, but will run stock plastic in the meantime.
Electronics, I am running Futaba CD700/GYD550/MC971CR with an Acuvance Agile 10.5t Lv 38 Rotor at 9FDR. Borrowing the MC971CR off another chassis for now, planning on running a Xarvis XX in the near future.
