Working on my next filmmaker zine (should be out in early summer!) so I was finally motivated to put the portrait prints from the last volume up on etsy, better late than never! Join us for a lively and inspiring panel discussion featuring local artists @livcappello_artist (painter; map 76 for @somervilleopenstudios ), @hiroshiminatojewelry (jewelry artist; map 67), and @atanenhaus (glitch media artist; map 40). They are recent recipients of the Somerville Arts Council Visual Art Fellowship. None of them have formal art education, but have learned how to successfully navigate the art world. If you are relatively new to creating artwork and interested in showcasing your work beyond your immediate circle, this event will be perfect for you. Also, anyone interested in local artists’ stories is welcome. Meet us at the @somervillelibrary (main branch), on Tuesday, April 21, 6–7:30 pm.
