This picture is kind of a summary of the trip. With me having to work in Jakarta, I always have help with my baby. There I have to spend literally 26/7 with her 🤣.
After her 2nd birthday, her emotions are kind of all over the place. She has meltdowns every now and then, super clingy, always wants to be carried around. After being picked up, she always cries and wants to run around 🥲. She cried about everything in the middle of the room full of people, and after all the reels, articles, and books about handling tantrums, we tried our best to respond to it in the calmest manner possible, and it was haaaard.
We build a structure and safe environment back home. But there in Our parents house isn’t designed for her, it has steep stairs and many breakable ornaments, and there’s public transport speeding by with loud music every night. Me and Rusdy are trying to adapt, and sadly, I have to give her my iPad sometimes.
Luisa can sleep in very loud noises, she’s happy to play with all the cousins and kids every day out in nature, and she sees mountains and the sea every day. Even though we used to keep our tone low while talking to her. Her voice has gained a couple of bars, like the people there 🙂. I think that will be a permanent thing. We always struggle about mealtime, which also happens on holiday.
Now she has to face the reality of our mini house in Jakarta, she won’t be able to run around at the house and yell to the family who lives across the street. But this trip has brought us inseparable; may our bond grow stronger. God gives us more patience and wisdom to let her recognize all the feelings she has.

Setelah 22 tahun jadi penghuni tetap jakarta saat lebaran, dan mudik cuma ke tangsel, akhirnya ngerasain mudik sebenarnya. Mungkin terakhir mudik dulu kelas 3 sd. Sempet nervous sih, gak tau apa yang musti dilakuin selama 10 hari di rumah keluarga. Ditambah bawa super moody toddler, yang baru pertama kali naik pesawat dan flight hours juga lumayan. Tapi happy banget bisa ketemu semua keluarga disana. Kesimpulannya kita berdua butuh relaxing massage 😂
