Just only gone and completed my first tour, ain’t I 😎🎉
What an absolute ride it’s been working with @marisaandthemoths supporting @fozzyrock on their UK tour.
A full-blown rollercoaster from start to finish, from the heartbreak of losing our friend Dave, to accidentally running over my beloved laptop 💀, to 9-minute soundchecks straight into doors… and somehow still making it happen. Chaos? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
I’ve worn just about every hat going, FOH, stage tech, TM, guitar tech… and even slapped a bit of da basssss when duty called. Learned more in these few weeks than I ever thought possible, and I’m coming away sharper, hungrier, and seriously pumped for whatever’s next 💪🏼
Massive thank you to everyone who made this one for the books. @chrisjerichofozzy thanks for having us and bringing the madness every night. @petedowsettproducer and @soundtech93 appreciate all the FOH wisdom and guidance. The whole MATM family what a wild few weeks, love you lot. @tailgunnerhq thanks for smashing through those tight soundchecks and being absolute legends. 2025 has been a year of absolute extremes.
I married my best friend and stood on some of the biggest stages the UK has to offer. I pushed myself into spaces that scared me, said yes when it felt easier to say no, and found a renewed sense of purpose through the chaos of touring and creating.
And then, without warning, everything shifted. Whilst on my honeymoon with my new wife, I lost my dad in the most horrendous way possible. For unforeseen circumstances we also had to pull out of purchasing our first house. Life became uncertain in ways I never saw coming, and grief quietly changed me at my core. I became angry, frustrated and hopeless at times.
Since then something in me shifted. I challenged myself more than ever before taking on work that frightened me, leaning into discomfort, and choosing growth even when I felt broken. In doing so, purpose slowly began to form where loss once sat.
This year stretched me, broke me, and reshaped me. It showed me how fragile life is, but also how much strength, love, and meaning can exist alongside the pain.
Tumultuous doesn’t quite cover it, but I’m grateful for what this year has taught me, and for the people who held me up when I needed it most.
I feel like I have my spark back. That fire in my belly. And I can’t wait to get started. Let’s have it 2026!
