I'm 12 years old. It's 10pm and I'm alone at my mother's best friend's house while the two of them are out with friends. I'm bored and there's a DVD of The Matrix. I've heard of it. Looks cool. Less than 15 minutes later, I've left the couch to sit on the cold linoleum floor so I can be closer to the TV. I am engrossed. I don't remember when my mom got home but she must have at some point because now it's after midnight and I'm putting in The Matrix Reloaded. I sit even closer to the TV now with the volume way down to not keep anyone else awake. So close I feel like I could reach into the glass screen of the CRT and touch that shimmering green code lighting my face in the dead of night...
It's such a small thing to be a part of a re-release of a movie I had nothing to do with. But this movie has everything to do with me. And with @iamdouglisio and with @robisagoodname and with @idanmenin and with @ari_grabb and probably with most of the crew that got to be a part of our six-minute legacy Featurette that will be opening for The Matrix in nationwide theaters this September.
After pitching WB on doing the rerelease, all we had to do was just shoot a little intro for the film to acknowledge the anniversary. We did way more than that. Directors DiMuccio and Miller went above and beyond to make something worthy of celebrating this film's place in all of our lives and I am proud to have been there to make it possible as a producer.

There are some strong perks of doing a free screening on a college campus! Some films have done entire campus tours and we can see why. It's not the most financially viable model and there are some additional levels of approval needed, but if your goal is word of mouth rather than ticket sales, it's a great option!
Our lead actress, Raquel Lebish, being present for this one and drawing on her network was definitely a big reason for success here. Always schedule a screenings in places where your network is strongest!

For added realism, directors Zack Ogle and Aaron Pagniano did not let Raquel watch any of the videos ahead of time. Instead, she watched every video for the first time with the camera rolling on her to capture her genuine reactions.

More of our travels around the country while showing our new horror movie, It Needs Eyes! Old Salem is pretty haunted, so obviously we love that, and there were several very cozy local bars. Seeing a student play at UNCSA was definitely a highlight though!
We kind of cheated and part of this video is about Charlotte, but it's nearby and has a great theater! If you like horror movies, definitely look up "That Very Witch" from Payton McCarty-Simas @paytplace . It's an incredible document of film history!
