501(c)3 Bay Area, CA Rescue:Dedicated to saving abandoned animals who are medical/special needs, from high kill shelters & beyond. Inspired by Ryderš¾
A lot of people do not know how our Rescue started. 6 years this month we lost our boy Ryder. Ryder was our first dog together after my husband and I met on motorcycles. We never thought it was relevant to post this, but after how many dogs we have saved Ryder Is the reason they are saved. Ryder Was a shelter puppy. He was saved from the Hayward animal shelter in CA. We were looking for a new dog when we bought our first house and there he was at the shelter. We did not know if we were going to get approved for a puppy. Long story short Ryder was ours. He was surrendered to the shelter with a note. His owners had bought him from a breeder, but they found out they were pregnant and decided to surrender him to the shelter at only 3months old. Ryder came into our home and was absolutely perfect. He was the best dog we have ever had. He had his flaws and his differences. We overlooked everything and protected him. He knew how to open the sliding glass back door, he was very protective of our household, but would let you in if we let you in, he was 149lbs, he wasnāt very dog friendly, he loved our family, he slept in our bed, he ate his food with his ball inside the bowlā¦he was perfect. Then Some thing happened when he was only 8.5 years old. He went blind for 10 mins. We took him to the vet and found out he mightāve been poisoned maybe by our neighbors? But at the end we find out he had cancer from head to paw. The doctor planned a holistic plan and said to keep him comfortable. He only lived three weeks after his vet visit. 30 days into losing him we were not only heartbroken but depressed. There was a total hole in our hearts. Could not eat, could not sleep or focus. We started focusing on motorcycles by doing things that we would love to do. Then we realized maybe what we should do is save more dogs like Ryder. Luckily we agreed because husband knew we were going to be bringing lots of dogs into our home. We had no funds but we had a plan! Till this day we are not very good on camera, but we love what we do and how we save our dogs. Every dog we save is worth it. This is part of how pack Lyfe rescue started. Thank you to all of our pack members. ā„ļø
Special shout out to @realdavidlabrava for being such a great person and an animal advocate!! We appreciate everything you do to share dogs in need and for adopting one of our own! When we met you we knew you were one of the most down to earth people we have met! A special person for sullen (a @stanislaus_shelter_friends survivor) to decompress! A person to help a shelter dog in need! One that was given up on multiple times and red listed to be put down. Every photo update we see we are just thankful for you and Teemie (from @haywardanimalshelter ) for taking in Sullen! He was one of the underdogs that needed a home. Now he has a blessed space to furever live. Thank you from our pack to yours ā„ļø You gave our dogs the motivation to someday find great people! #dogslife
There is an old saying: āThat which doesnāt kill you makes you stronger.ā I donāt believe that. I think the things that try to kill you make you angry and sad. Strength comes from the good things: your family, your friends, the satisfaction of hard work.ā #sonsofanarchy
Our beautiful girl Valentine received her angel wings. Sweet Valentine was left in a basket in Modesto California. When we saw her we knew we wanted to help her right away. She could not stand up or had the connect with her brain on how to make her legs work the way they were suppose to. She was one of the severe cases of CH. Her bloodwork and X-rays checked out just fine. Her prognosis was that she was a CH puppy! She had Cerebellar hypoplasia. Her brain wasnāt fully developed⦠We got her a wheelchair where she can be more mobile and free like the rest of the rescue dogs. She was with us for about four months and she was such a joy. As she was getting older We found her a furever home @t_perfectimperfections who specializes in special needs doggies. When Valentine arrived there she fit right in. We at Pack Lyfe couldnāt have been happier. We loved all the updates and how well she was adjusting. We even sent her a new chair that our pack members helped donate funds for. Although, like many things nothing is certain. It wasnāt certain that Valentine was going to grow up and live a long life. Dogs with neurological issues can have sudden changes inside that is out of everyoneās control⦠well Thursday morning at 6:02AM we received the saddest news. Valentine woke up having a seizure. She was crying so loud that they tried to hold her and keep her calm but the seizures would not stop. She was rushed to the vet where her temperature raised to 106 and she suffered brain damage. She left all of us at that time. Her little body wasnāt able to do anymore. She was only 5 months old but had the best āālife she could have. Sometimes dogs like Valentine come into our lives for a reason. They show us what true and absolute compassion is. We would like to start a fund in Valentineās name to help more dogs like her. This fund will be set aside to support dogs that need wheelchairs, MRIās, physical therapy and any thing that a special needs dog may need. We love you so much Valentine. We are so happy and blessed you came into all our lives. Until we see you again baby girl šš¦š Here are some videos of her living her short but amazing life.
Meet Tri-pod Eddie š¤located in Modesto ca
Eddie is a 5½ month old Dutch Shepherd/Husky mix with three legs and a whole lot of personality. Donāt let the missing leg fool you this boy is full of life, love, and goofy energy. Eddie absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a forever home with a playful canine companion by his side.
He enjoys short walks, learning new tricks, and anything involving food. Eddie is a smart boy who needs plenty of enrichment to keep both his mind and body busy. He may have some large breed mixed in him, but heās looking like heāll stay around a medium size.
Eddie also does amazing going out in public and loves tagging along to breweries, wineries, and dog-friendly restaurants. He enjoys being included in adventures and is always happy to be by his peopleās side.
Eddie is kennel trained and potty trained, but heās still a puppy and will need continued training, structure, and patience as he grows. In return, youāll get a loyal best friend whoās resilient, loving, and ready to take on the world with his forever family.
Our sweet boy has been waiting far too long. When we saved him from the Stockton Animal Shelter, we truly thought heād be adopted right away. But sadly, Eddie keeps getting overlooked for the more āpopularā fluffy or tiny puppies. He had been possibly hit by a car and his arm was not able to be saved. We were very thankful that his shelter reached out to save him.
What people donāt see at first glance is just how special he really is. Eddie is incredibly smart, loyal, resilient, and so deeply deserving of a family to call his own. He may have lost his leg, but he never lost his spirit or his dignity. š¤
Heās looking for someone who can give him the perfect balance an active lifestyle with adventures and enrichment, while also enjoying calm moments curled up beside his people. Eddie has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to finally see the amazing dog he is.

Meet Tank š¾
This handsome boy came to us from the Madera County Animal Shelter looking for a second chance at life. Tank is believed to be around 6 years old and is an XL Bully weighing about 130 pounds of pure love ā¤ļø
Tank came in with what was said to be his family, but sadly we believe he may have been abandoned by breeders instead. Despite everything heās been through, Tank has remained an absolute sweetheart. He loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has even been helping babysit baby puppies š„¹ Heās also great with small dogs!
Right now Tank is safe in Livermore, California with an amazing foster mom who immediately stepped up to help him. She actually rescued a a puppy from the exact same shelter over 15 years ago who was also an XL. we truly canāt believe the coincidence. We are beyond grateful for kind hearted people like her who continue opening their homes to dogs in need.
Tank has some scrapes, scars, and bruises that are healing, and foster mom is doing an incredible job helping him feel comfortable and loved again. He will be getting his veterinary work done on May 22.
If you would like to meet Tank, learn more about him, or give this gentle giant the forever home he deserves, please reach out!
Donations toward Tankās upcoming medical care are also greatly appreciated and help us continue saving dogs like him.

We have a very heartbreaking story for these babies who are urgently in need of foster homes. šš¾
These three dogs have just joined our pack because we simply could not say no. Their human grandma reached out to our amazing groomers at Classic Canine Wiggle Rumps Room asking for help after a devastating tragedy struck their family.
Her son was involved in a terrible accident and tragically passed away the very next day. He was far too young and still had his whole life ahead of him. He left behind a family who loved him deeply and his three beloved dogs.
Their human grandma stepped in immediately and took them in because she loves them so much, but she already has dogs of her own and truly cannot keep them long term. She made a heartfelt plea for help because she has nowhere else to turn. She tried contacting shelters hoping they could get immediate help, but never heard back. She also reached out to multiple rescues with no response.
Thankfully, a temporary foster stepped up so they would not be left with nowhere to go, but we urgently need foster homes for them now.
The two girls, now named Ziigwan and Miigwan, are very bonded and would love to stay together for now because they absolutely adore each other. ā¤ļø
The fluffy boy, now named Jim, can go separately into another foster home if needed.
All three are incredibly sweet, dog friendly, playful, and healthy dogs. They absolutely love food, so slow feeders are recommended. Most importantly, they were deeply loved pets who have suddenly lost their person and their whole world has changed overnight.
We want to make sure they stay safe and never end up in the wrong hands. Their grandma felt the exact same way and trusted us to help find them loving, safe foster homes.
Please message us if you can foster, share this post, or help in any way. These babies have already been through enough and deserve stability, love, and kindness during this heartbreaking transition. š¾
