I discovered this place back in December and have been low-key keeping it to myself, but I’m shocked at how many people still don’t know about it. Stone Groove Stillhouse is the first audio stillhouse in the world. They have a beautiful Arnold Holstein still right inside the space, and here’s where it gets unique…they musically master their spirits, which means they play different genres of music to each bourbon and whiskey while it ages, and it completely changes the flavor. You can literally taste the music. Owners Christa and Jeff Duggan have made every part of the evening feel like an experience. The bar program reminds me of something you’d find in the UK, which makes sense because beverage director Matt Fitzgerald is from London. All of the cocktails are named after songs across every genre. The Tragic Kingdom is one of the most popular and I highly recommend it. The food is just as dialed in with a chef driven kitchen by Chef Nick Herrera. Don’t miss the cheese and bread, the potatoes and tomatoes, and the braised wagyu short rib. The vibe is dark, chic, and moody. To find it, head to the packing district in Anaheim and look for the Make Building. Walk through the front and head to the back, the doors will be on your right. Inside, look for the barrel hooked up to a speaker. That’s the Living Cask, and every song played in the space since they opened has been played to that barrel. For the rest of us, try these three (3) easy parking tips. 📍1️⃣ Free Public Parking Garage by Anaheim City Hall, accessible from Broadway and Mito Way. Search “Anaheim City Hall” or “River Arena” to find it. 🚶‍♀️ 6-minute walk Note that Sundays during service, this garage can get full, which leads us to… 📍2️⃣ Free Public Parking Garage by The Kraemer Building and across from the community center. There is plenty of parking on the upper levels.
