So proud to carry with me generations of craft, character, and history. A look deeply rooted in the lanes of Jaipur and Rajasthan.
Grateful to the indomitable @prabalgurung for having my sister and me and more importantly for imagining these incredible outfits for us.
The traditional Rajasthani Phulgar coat is an ode to the impeccable sense of inherent style you will find if you travel through the length and breadth of our state. Having taken more than 600 hours to complete, it was brought to life by @yashandashimatholiadesigns and their incredible team of artisans. The Bandgala, the jewellery, the Jootis, the block printed lining, all steeped in their deep Rajasthani roots were intentional and very important for me.
It was an honour to attend with my beautiful sister Gauravi.
And lastly, I want to take my hat off to Anna Wintour for the icon that she is and the incomparable work she has been able to do for the @metmuseum and the world of fashion over the years.

Today marks 15 years since the Raj Tilak of His Highness Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh (@pachojaipur ), when he formally became the head of the Kachhwaha clan of Jaipur and, with it, took on the responsibilities that come with leading The Royal Family of Jaipur.
The Raj Tilak is a sacred royal tradition, the ceremony that marks the formal appointment of a new ruler. His Highness was joined by members of the royal family, jagirdars, and others who gathered to witness and bless the occasion.
Here are a few glimpses from that day.
At the heart of Jaipur, the City Palace stands as both address and inheritance.
As over a million visitors move through its courtyards each year, certain parts of the Chandra Mahal remain a private residence. It is here that Sawai Padmanabh Singh lives—heir to Jaipur’s erstwhile royal family and both resident and custodian of a palace that is home and public monument.
As a longstanding cultural centre, while the platforms in Jaipur have shifted, the impulse toward culture persists.
Padmanabh has repositioned the palace within the city’s present—restoring galleries and opening its archives to contemporary art.
For him, however, it is first a memory—rooms of routine, seasonal dishes in family kitchens, a childhood lived inside history. He takes The Established through some of the moments he still holds on to.
