A semester that changes how you see the workāand your place in it.
Our International Performance Ensemble (IPE) juniors recently returned from their semester at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB) @iabarcelona āa conservatory-style school where they trained and collaborated with artists from around the world and expanded their understanding of what theater can be. š
From directing in real time with faculty feedback, to building ensembles across cultures, to discovering new approaches to voice, movement, and design, this experience goes far beyond the classroom. š
As one student shared, itās about realizing that āthe American way of theater is not the only way,ā and learning how different perspectives shape the work.
As part of our new BFA in Performance Making, students train in the heart of New York City and spend a semester in Barcelona, working alongside European artists and gaining a truly global perspective. Learn more at www.pace.edu/sands.
Meet Katerina Pappas!

I bring empathy, energy, and imagination to every role, using my voice, body, and storytelling to connect with audiences and create authentic, character-driven work.
