This month, we had the opportunity to capture something special. We invited a 7-year-old to sit down with older adults at PACE Southeast Michigan and ask a simple question: What makes a good day? The result was a series of honest, heartfelt conversations of connection that crossed generations and reminded us how much we share, no matter our age. Below, you’ll see images from those conversations. You’ll find a glimpse of what matters most: connection, joy, comfort and being seen. These moments reflect something we believe deeply at PACE Southeast Michigan—that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health, and that meaningful connection is at the heart of both. We invite you to help us create more of these moments! Your support will better equip our teams with education and resources to help enhance the behavioral care our older adults receive and ensure more good days, together. Thanks to the generosity of PACE Southeast Michigan’s Chief Clinical and Operating Officer, Donna Emch, and her husband James, every gift donated during the month of May will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500, doubling your impact! Today, our Older Adult & Mental Health Awareness Month campaign officially begins. All month long, we’re raising awareness and supporting the behavioral health needs of the older adults we serve— an essential, and too often overlooked, part of whole-person care. This year our Chief Operating and Clinical Officer, Donna, and her husband, James Emch, have generously offered to match all gifts dollar for dollar up to $2,500, helping your support go twice as far for older adults who need it most. Because of supporters like you, PACE Southeast Michigan can provide behavioral health services and meaningful opportunities for connection that help reduce isolation and improve quality of life. Will you consider making a gift today? /donate//?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=organic-social&utm_campaign=maykickoff #PACESEMI #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #Nonprofit

It’s Occupational Therapy Month, and we're celebrating! Behind every senior who returns to their morning routine, picks up a grandchild or lives confidently, there's often an occupational therapist making it possible. OTs help older adults regain strength after illness or injury, adapt their homes for independence and stay connected to activities that bring them joy. At PACE Southeast Michigan, we see how transformative OT can be every day. OT is not just therapy; it's getting your life back. This month, join us in thanking the incredible OTs who make more good days possible! #PACESEMI #Seniors #OccupationalTherapy #Independence

After more than a decade of visionary leadership, we celebrate and honor Mary Naber as she steps into retirement from her position as the CEO from PACE Southeast Michigan. 💚 Since 2014, Mary has been more than a CEO—she has been a guiding light, a fierce advocate, and a true champion for our participants, staff and community. Under her leadership, PACE Southeast Michigan grew into one of the leading PACE programs in the country, expanding access to compassionate, coordinated care that allows older adults to live with dignity and independence. Mary didn’t just lead an organization—she shaped a culture. One where people feel seen, supported and deeply connected to the mission. Her impact lives in the relationships she built and the countless lives changed because she chose to lead with heart. To know Mary is to know a leader who leads with heart. A mentor who lifts others. A friend who leaves every space better than she found it. As we celebrate her remarkable journey, we invite you to read more about the impact of her leadership and the lives she’s shaped: /2026/03/celebrating-womens-history-month-women-who-shaped-my-career-2/ Mary, thank you for your 12 years of dedication, your vision and your love for this mission.
