You know what I love about video games? So many things. Truthfully. Working on games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Lies of P, Baldur’s Gate 3, etc. is a dream come true. But you know what else I love about them? Audio logs. They’re such a ridiculous conceit and yet totally wonderful in practice, and my latest collaboration with @georgiamaeayling highlights this uniquely brilliant video game trope. I’ve written and performed this quick whiz through five floors, eight characters, and one rampaging monster, and I did it for one main reason: fun. If you like video games, I really hope you take a couple minutes and take a listen, and that it transports you to a carefree world without your real world problems. I really really hope you enjoy. Despite the exhausted look on my face, working on @wendyholdenauthor ’s The Queen’s Painter at @hachetteuk over the last week really was a joy. Very grateful to have been trusted with such a fun piece of historical fiction, and I truly hope you enjoy it if you listen to it on its release on June 18th.

Overwhelmingly delighted that Buzz: The Man & The Moon, from @goldhawk_productions , won Best Podcast Audio Drama at the BBC Audio Drama Awards last night! The Lunar Landing Test sequence in Episode 3 is one of the best audio scenes I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m so proud of the whole Goldhawk crew and cast for this well-deserved win.
