IM OFFICIALLY 1 YEAR SOBER šā¤ļø Last year, May 7th 2025 was the last day I took a drink. I woke up the next morning at a place called Alamo Behavioral Health after a night of giving my mother hell trying to get me in there. My mind was foggy & I was at a level of depression and anger I had never felt before in my life, but also the first glimpse of hope in a long time was finding its way to me. I wasnāt sure what my life would look like after those 30 days but during that time I found friendships (& a roomie) that still last to this day (@kdakarai_ , @momoxmunchies , @anmgonzales )
There have been hard days, there have been days i have felt like giving up completely, and there have been days where the strength I felt like I had just wasnāt strong enough. But none of those days outweighed the pure joy I have found with my life today. I have found genuine love for myself, a love for my life, a love for my future, and I happened to find the loml during it too (@unimpressed.babeee )

2025 was a lot of unlearning and facing things I used to avoid. LAYERS came out of that mindset.
Not everything shows up in the script, but itās all in the film.

A nonbinary person living in a deeply religious household has an intimate night with an older trans woman, only to later discover she has a connection to their father from a past at a conversion camp.
This is a story about faith, identity, and what happens when those worlds collide.
Iām proud to bring this story to life and to share something we donāt often get to see told this way.

Today is the day!
I wrote this film almost as a letter to my family.
My dad is a pastor, and growing up in the LGBTQ community and now as a transgender person, my background has shaped how I see and move through the world.
I wanted to create something honest and bold, but also genuinely entertaining.
Something that shows people these conversations can happen, even when theyāre hard.
