When you have a kid, everything takes on a whole new meaning. This isn’t just a koi pond, it’s the memory of watching my toddler smiling ear-to-ear as he feeds the fish. And whether or not he’s going to remember it in a few years, it’s another opportunity to demonstrate how to be respectful of all living creatures. One extra repetition, one more reinforcement, that will slowly become cemented as a part of him forever. ❤️ @judy

🇬🇷 This was my first time seeing the Parthenon in over 20 years, and it was the first time ever for @judy and Baby Leo. In school, history was my least favorite subject. It seemed to involve a lot of memorization, especially on irrational acts of human beings. Numbers, science, and algorithms felt more deterministic, fundamental, and true to me. As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned to appreciate history’s importance on people, language, culture, and driving empathy for others. 📚Here are two amazing facts about the Parthenon that I had previously forgotten: 1) The Parthenon is renowned for its remarkable architectural precision. The ancient Greeks used subtle optical illusions to ensure the temple appeared perfectly straight and symmetrical. 2) Despite being over 2,400 years old, the Parthenon has withstood significant damage and transformations. It has served various roles, including a temple dedicated to Athena, a Christian church, and an Ottoman mosque.
