Ibanez RGD Prestige 2127fx mod: Evertune + Lundgren M7
This guitar has been my main workhorse for many years, so it was time to give it a second life. The stock bridge was pretty worn out, and stability in low tunings had always been an issue for me, so I thought an Evertune bridge could be the solution. As per usual, @d_montesguitars did a brilliant job, made his own templates and installed it manually.
String action is more limited now and the highest is significantly lower than what I had with the stock Tight End bridge. However, the extra tension from the Evertune makes up for it somehow, so there's no fret buzz. Still, we set the action as high as it gets.
Bendings felt a bit weird at first, but I got used to the feel pretty quickly. There is a noticeable loss of sustain as well, but that's not an issue for me.
We also swapped the bridge pickup: from a BKP Aftermath to a Lundgren M7.
The result is an insane QoL upgrade. The same tuning feels tighter than before, tracking in low tunings is much easier and faster and the bridge itself feels very comfortable. I would absolutely do it again if I ever get my hands on another RGD.
Tuning: Drop F# + dissonant first 2 strings (I never actually use this tuning, I always go lower with the Whammy DT).
