Allie's Favorite Volunteer Task: Love being on the trails during tours and I enjoy working in the wolf kitchen preparing meat for the wolves. Really all of it.
Allie's Favorite Thing about Wolf Sanctuary of PA: being a part of supporting the wolves. It always strikes me as such a huge honor to be able to work so close to such noble and beautiful animals. And they never fail to return the favor with a symphony of howling.

Happy 2nd Rescue Anniversary to this lovely family! Voodoo and Lyric and their daughter Ziva were all rescued from a household setting in New Jersey 2 years ago. Ziva lives next door to her parents now. We have loved seeing this family adjust to their home and settle in. We love you three!

It’s #wolffactwednesday ! While it may look like Chaga is getting ready to plant his garden bed, he is actually doing a typical wolf behavior. Scratching at the ground before laying down provides a nice cool place to rest by unearthing the soil, and it also helps to mark their scent. Wolves and wolfdogs have extra scent glands in their paws to help them leave their scent by scratching, pawing, and even just walking their paths.
