Once you’ve completed your course, practise as much as possible on friends & family. Every client has different eye shapes, lash directions & natural lash health. This is where the real experience comes from 👩🏽🎨
You don’t need to spend thousands on branding. Apps like Canva & Etsy have amazing affordable templates. Keep your highlights, icons, fonts & colours consistent so your page looks professional.
Good lighting and clear photos will change your business. Document every set you do, even your beginner sets. Consistent content builds trust and attracts bookings.
Learn to make your fans early on. Pre-mades can create thick bases, poorer retention and make clients feel uncomfortable. Handmade fans will improve your skills and your overall results
Once you’ve completed model sets, do NOT charge £15 for a full set. Your stock alone costs more than that. Starting at £30+ builds value in your work and helps you grow sustainably.
Stop buying every new lash product you see online. Focus on mastering a few reliable products. Technique will always matter more than having a huge collection.
Not every client suits the same style. Analyse their eye shape and natural lashes properly. Clients trust lash artists who give honest recommendations instead of just saying yes to everything.
Being kind, professional and welcoming will grow your clientele faster than anything else. Clients remember how you made them feel, and they’ll recommend you to friends and family because of it.
Don’t compare your timing to advance lash artists. Clients care more about leaving with a full, neat set. Speed comes naturally with practise and consistency.
Every successful lash artist started somewhere. Focus on improving one set at a time instead of comparing yourself online. Consistency will always beat rushing.
