Portugal Pavilion, Osaka — A blue dialogue between Portugal and Japan
P 06 was an integral part of the winning team in the international competition for the Portugal Pavilion at Osaka, serving as the creative director for museography and interior design.
The challenge consisted in creating an exhibition and spatial narrative that presented Portugal as a country with a strong maritime identity, a commitment to sustainability, and a historical and cultural dialogue with Japan — all while meeting strict requirements for circular economy, reduced environmental footprint, and technical innovation. The goal was for visitors from diverse cultures to be immersed in the theme “Ocean: Blue Dialogue”, gaining an understanding of both Portugal’s maritime past and its visions for a sustainable future.

The Hipólito Cabaço Museum is located in the Casa da Torre, in Alenquer. A former schoolhouse that once served as the home of the archaeologist and his family. Today, it presents a collection of over 2,000 artifacts from various historical periods, all of which are archaeological finds from this municipality.

Promontory Exhibition Center — The History of the Portuguese Discoveries
Inaugurated in 2022, the Sagres Promontory Exhibition Center is a modern exhibition and interpretative space, dedicated to telling the story of the Portuguese Discoveries and the strategic importance of this location.

Tribute to the Miners of Aljustrel — Reception and Interpretation Center of the Aljustrel Mining Park
In 2023, the Aljustrel Mining Park challenged us to design an exhibition capable of honoring the mining profession and the Aljustrel mines through an innovative and immersive approach. In partnership with Edigma, the company responsible for the multimedia component, we developed an exhibition route that combines informative content with a strong sensory experience, reflecting the underground identity of the mining territory.

“Deconstructing Colonialism, Decolonizing the Imagination” — The exhibition that deconstructs the myths about Portuguese colonialism.
The exhibition “Deconstructing Colonialism, Decolonizing the Imagination”, at the National Museum of Ethnology in Lisbon, under the direction of the teacher Isabel Castro Henriques, presented us with an exciting challenge: to create the project and graphic design for an exhibition that innovatively addresses the complex themes of Portuguese colonialism.

MACC — Museu de Arte e do Colecionismo de Cantanhede — An impressive heritage of around 800,000 pieces.
P 06 studio was challenged to bring to life the new exhibition space and graphic identity of MACC – Museum of Art and Collecting of Cantanhede, an institution created to highlight an impressive heritage consisting of around 800,000 pieces from different collections, periods, styles, and origins. This project was carried out in close collaboration with the City Council.

"Imagem e Cidade — Os Mapas Imaginados e a Urbe Projectada" Exhibition
P06 Studio was invited to design a temporary exhibition about the evolution of the architecture and urban planning of the city of Guarda since the 1940’s until the 1990’s to be hosted at TMG (Teatro Municipal da Guarda).
The main challenge of the project was to create a whole visual and spacial narrative that could display and communicate the reshaping and growth of the urban territory of the city in a way the could be compelling and engaging for the visitor.

The Camonian Collection of Carvalho Monteiro — A White Scenography for the Poet.
To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Luís de Camões, Portugal’s most celebrated poet and national hero, a special exhibition has been created to showcase Carvalho Monteiro’s extensive collection.
The exhibition features an extensive collection of books, historical representations and artistic tributes, offering visitors an immersive journey into the poet’s world.
