On this day in 1944 - 𝟭𝟭 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 Rosa Parks’ planned protest - this happened… Irene Morgan was on a bus with another Black woman friend who was carrying an infant. They were ordered to give up their seats and move to the back of the bus because a white couple wanted to sit where they were. ⁣ ⁣ Irene refused. The bus driver then summoned the local sheriff who was nearby. He presented Irene with an arrest warrant, and Irene ripped it up right in front of him. ⁣ ⁣ When the sheriff tried to physically pull her off the bus, Irene kicked him in the nads. It eventually took the sheriff and two other deputies to remove Irene and arrest her. ⁣ ⁣ Irene Morgan’s day job was helping build America’s B-26 bomber for WWII. She was a freedom fighter and a true badass warrior.
