Epic day for a JAM!
This hike has been sitting on my bucket list since I jumped into this lunatic world of winter hiking.
Mt Jefferson. Mt Adams. Mt Madison.
Three of the five tallest peaks in NH.
Gerr Bear and Johnny Fast Lane were kind enough to let me tag along. Bluebird skies, low wind, and… –6° at the trailhead. What the ?!?
💯 worth it!
There were a few moments when my frozen fingers staged a full rebellion. But with good friends, stubborn determination, and just the right amount of craziness… we prevailed.
And these views? Unreal.
There’s something empowering and rejuvenating about pushing your body and mind to what feels like the edge. And then finding that extra gear to accomplish something you’ve always wanted.

Mountain Isolation surprised me. I’d written it off for reasons I can’t explain, but it ended up being one of the better hikes I’ve done. Frosted trees, soft light, steady climb and endless white, wild and peaceful all at once
Snowshoes came out mid hike (despite resistance from half our crew), the river crossing tried to dunk us, but somehow we stayed upright and laughing.
We missed the famous summit view, but I didn’t mind. The company, the conversations, and the easy jokes all day were the best part. Post hike beers and a tasty meal at Hobbs Tavern didn’t hurt either.
Really grateful for friends, adventure, healthy movement, and the kind of nature that resets everything.

Yesterday on Moose had it all. Soft powder accented against bluebird skies, wild wind, and even wilder friends. 😜
This trail will always mean a lot to me. It’s where a simple Hiking Buddies meetup with @kberg_1 and @constant0413 sparked so many friendships, including these three legends, bum touch @gmadvm5 , tree cutter @poisson947 , plus Lupa 🐕 and her snow goblin mom @jenicoo .
Friendships made on trail hit different. They wake you up, stretch you out, and make you feel alive. More hikes. More snow. More joy, please. ❄️ 🥾🏔️⛄️

Tumbledown hits just right in early autumn. Fiery leaves. Crisp air. Climbing rungs. That cool pond at the top that dares you to dip a toe 🥶🍁. Day 7 (6/7/25) 🇮🇹 Maiori → Ravello → Scala
🥾 “Just an easy hike,” I told my brother … hours later… 18.2 km and 752m of vertical gain later, my brother Brian and I had:
🌿 Climbed the Sentiero dei Limoni through Minori to Ravello
🌸 Smelled jasmine, soaked in the Amalfi sun, and marveled at those coastal views
🎨 Discovered handmade gems at @ceramichecosmolena (right, @gmadvm5 ?)
🍋🍝 Met brother #3 @jeffozimek + @eozimek in Scala for limoncello spritz, pasta, and heavenly desserts at @pietrobarscala
💪 Legs: jelly. Spirits: high. Amalfi: undefeated.

Day 6 (6/6/25) 🇮🇹 Maiori → wedding bells
💍 Sam & Lyndsay Feldotto said “I do” under Amalfi skies
🍹 Aperol spritzes + seafood towers + sunset views = perfection
🎷 Sax solos, sing-alongs, and a dance floor that never quit (is there ever too much ABBA at a wedding in Amalfi?)
🎂 Cake cutting → fireworks → midnight espresso martinis
🕺 Family, friends, and five hours of dancing under the stars
Day 4 🇮🇹 Maiori > Positano
🏨 Woke up in the wrong hotel on the wrong day
🥪 Saved by a panino (prosciutto + mozz + basil = redemption)
🌊 Boardwalk strolls + bridal party sightings
🛬 Jet-lagged bro arrives from Austin
🍋🥃 Celebrated with limoncello… and maybe a negroni or two
⛵️ the @jeffolejnik boat bash to Positano was unreal
🎶 ABBA, aperitivi, swimming with million-dollar yachts
🧤 Uncle Brian my sister’s bra
🍕 Wrapped it all with pizza + laughs at La Vela
Day 3 🇮🇹 arrivederci Ischia! ✌️
🏰 checked out Castello Aragonese
🏖 swam in the Tyrrhenian Sea at Spiaggia di San Pietro
🍋🥂 Limoncello spritzes flowed freely
🍤🍝 dined on Shrimp + lemon pistachio spaghetti was perfetto!
⛴ Ferry hopped to Capri ➝ Positano ➝ Amalfi
🛺 before a golf cart finale into Maiori
Day 2 : ciao Ischia:
☕️ Cappuccini + spaghetti frittata
🚴♂️ Danilo convinced us to ride the whole island - 35km
⛰ Climbed Mt. Epomeo
🍋 🍻 Toasted with birra e limonata at La Grotta da Fiore
