Week 1 - Your best foot forward It has always been a yearning of mine to tell stories through my art - photography, the theme for this week’s challenge was perfect for this because we literally get to do anything with no limits, and that’s what I went for with this shoot. I call it “Echoes of the Past”. Taking us back to the old times, reminiscing of how simple and yet lovely times were back in the old days. This was all planned and executed in 24 hrs with my friend @kuyetbamai who graciously modeled for the shoot and with assistance from my good friends @thenjceffect_ ❤️ Each slide progressively tells a story of a man returning back to where he grew up, reliving the moment #goths1 #gotalenthuntseason1

Last week, by the direction of the office of the Special assistant to the President of the Republic of Nigeria on Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy in collaboration with the Abuja Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center, I had the privilege to exhibit my work in front of special dignitaries, guests, family, friends, loved ones and fellow creatives. Rooted in the shared belief that art is a universal language, Iki Àşà uses photography to illuminate cultural identities and creative expressions of both nations. 🇹🇷 🤝🏽 🇳🇬. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the S.A Mr Ayomide Adeagbo @ayo_xtreme , The Director at the Abuja Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center Mr Fatih Erkin Mahdum, Amb. Adefunke Oni @phunkybudha , Mr Halilu and the entire team for their hospitality and grace through this process and putting together such a wonderful programme. 🫶🏽❤️🙏🏾. Special thanks to King George Okoro @georgeokoro for your kind recommendations, God bless you Sir ❤️🙏🏾. Special shout-out to my co-exhibitors Mr Sope Adelaja @sopeadelaja and Prof. Dr. Tuna Akçay @tunaakcay , who showed an incredible display of cultural heritage through the art of photography. I’m truly excited as to what is to come from this and deeply motivated to showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage to the best of my ability. Thank you all. ❤️🙏🏾. #photoexhibition #turkey #nigeria #artandculture #abuja

We walk past them every day. Through car windows. Through assumptions. Through silence. The Almajiri child has become one of the most misunderstood faces in Northern Nigeria — reduced to a stereotype, stripped of context, history, and humanity. Yet behind that label are real lives, real families, real stories shaped by systems older than all of us. Born Behind the Glass is an attempt to pause, look again, and listen properly. To ask how a system once rooted in dignity, knowledge, and community lost its way — and what it will take to restore it in a modern world. To move beyond pity and handouts, and toward understanding, structure, and meaningful action. This documentary is not about blame. It is about truth, responsibility, and re-education. About hearing directly from those living the reality — the children, the parents, the survivors — alongside historians and reformers who understand both the past and the possibilities ahead. If we are willing to see differently, we can do better. Born Behind the Glass — Coming Soon. Special thanks to Mr. Ibrahim Baloni @balaye for pushing this vision into reality and for his unwavering support. - 🍕L’APIP PIZZERIA 🍕- This week’s task for the GO talent hunt season 1 was themed - Product Photography. (A Nigerian Brand). We had to go all out once again to make this possible from the planning, shopping, to execution of the shoot, all in less than 12 hours 😅. But one thing I’ve learned over the course of this challenge is that once you put your mind to something you would be amazed what you can achieve. Glad how this turned out in so little time. Thank you to the management at @lapip_pizzeria for allowing us do this. And once again thank you to @georgeokoro for the @gotalenthunt , challenging us to new levels. Thanks to @thenjceffect_ for your priceless assistance 🙏🏾❤️, God bless you. #goths1 #gotalenthuntseason1

“Sights of ABUJA” 🇳🇬 This week’s task for the GO talent hunt season 1 themed - Landscape Photography . Had to be patient shooting this week’s task, going out both in the morning and evening to achieve the full story. Every slide details the beauty of Abuja city as it goes from dawn 🏞️ till dusk 🌄. Thank you to @gotalenthunt and @georgeokoro for constantly pushing us beyond our comfort zones in the course of this. #goths1 #gotalenthuntseason1

- The King in the Noth 👑 - The Hausa people in Africa wear a special Turban called “rawani” as a symbol of royalty and prestige. It has become a staple adornment for traditional rulers such as the Emir of Kano, Sultan of Sokoto among others. If last week’s task was challenging, this was challenging Pro Max putting this together and the adrenaline rush is unexplainable and one thing I would cherish from the GO talent hunt 2025 is pushing myself beyond limits because this shoot had to be put together and executed within 6 hours of the deadline. And being Igbo by tribe this was a branch into the diverse culture of Nigerian people. Thank you @gotalenthunt @georgeokoro for this opportunity of growth. Once again thanks to my brothers @thenjceffect_ @moussa_._a and @vantage00_ for helping put this together 🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️. #goths1 #gotalenthuntseason1
