Mono Acoustic Horn, -live sound performance- metal, speakers, amplifiers, shakers, computer Mono Acoustic Horn': a two-meter body crafted through cutting, bending, and welding in the metal workshop. This horn-shaped sculpture, fitted with transistors, amplifiers, shakers, and speakers, transforms into a performance marvel. Fueled by field recordings, diverse soundscapes, and live coding, the 'Mono Acoustic Horn' becomes a vessel for exploring the acoustic interplay between human and its surroundings. By shaping the metal, it probes into the resonance of distant echoes, harmonizing the natural and artificial sounds, and offering a distinctive exploration of the relationship between sound and metal. 30th October 2021, Medienhaus, Berlin @s4ntp_gencomp @udkberlin

Devil’s Rope: Between Refuse and Refuge For over a century, barbed wire has been utilized extensively to demarcate territorial boundaries and define spaces, such as fields, pastures, urban areas, factories, military barracks, and countries. "Devil's Rope," employs barbed wire as a medium to contemplate the concept of borders and the intricacies of human mobility. Using barbed wire and infrasound frequencies below human hearing (0-20Hz), the asymmetrically arranged interactive installation intensifies the visual, acoustic, and situational elements of borders, drawing visitors into an atmosphere of tension. In doing so, it creates a symbolic space that brings together the tangible reality and the complex challenges posed by a world grappling with mobility crises. Incorporating an infrared sensor, the installation responds dynamically to the presence of viewers in the room, causing the wires to vibrate more intensely as the audience count increases. This interactive element adds a dimension to the experience, shaping the resonance and ambiance of 'Devil's Rope: Between Refuse and Refuge' in real-time. The installation invites re-examination of the interplay between the body, borders, sound, and space, highlighting the multifaceted nature of these issues. 28-30 July 2023 Zwitschermaschine Potsdamerstr. 161 10783 Berlin photos by @realclemensfischer curation @fangts_ funded by Musikfonds e.V

Devil’s Rope: The Encounter kinetic-interactive sound installation -barbed wire, turnbuckle, speaker, amplifier, MAX, arduino, microphone stand- For over a century, iron barbed wire has been used almost everywhere: around fields and pastures in the country, in the city, on walls or fences of factories, around military barracks and even private residences. It has always been efficient enough to perform its designated tasks: to define space and to establish territorial boundaries. “Devil’s Rope: The Encounter” intends to reclect on global human mobility. As viewers approach the barbed wire, the sensor detects their presence and alters the frequency at which the wire vibrates. This dynamic effect serves as a metaphorical representation of the audience’s proximity to the complexities and resonances of the borders. repost from @errant.sound Erteks installation Devil’s Rope, induces viewers to explore materials associated with borders, utilizing barbed wire and turnbuckles to evoke themes of movement and human mobility. It transforms the gallery into a symbolic space with a border, dynamically altering its soundscape in response to the audience’s proximity. The installation offers a confrontation and confines visitors’ mobility in the exhibition space, addressing the social resonance of borders. The installation was presented at Errant Sound last year as part of the exhibition “Sculpted Sonorities”. Tonight, it returns to the new space as a sound intervention within “Transferans: Experimental Electronics IV”. See you 20:00 at @errant.sound Gerichtstraße 45, Wedding, Berlin. video by @cihankucuk_

Join us for an evening of DIY instruments and live performances with sound artefacts. “Transferans: Experimental Electronics IV” takes place on 6 May 2026 at 20:00 at Errant Sound, Gerichtstraße 45, featuring Leon Eckard and Özcan Ertek, with the performances “der Mond” and “Devil’s Rope: On a Journey of No Return”.  Handcrafted analog devices, DIY instruments with recycled materials, former technologies, circuits, codes, artificial intelligence… Hosted by Errant Sound; “Experimental Electronics” event series by @transferansmuzik presents artists working within experimental, academic, or research-driven practices, performing with DIY, custom-built instruments and sound artefacts in individual setups. Each artist has a dedicated desk with custom device, recycled objects or resonant materials, performing in 30-minute slots. Transferans: Experimental Electronics IV Leon Eckard Der Mond (The Moon) by Leon Eckard is a self-modulating sound installation and performance instrument built from found metal and tuned strings, exploring resonance, decay, and transformation through fragile feedback systems. Özcan Ertek Devil’s Rope is a kinetic installation and sound intervention using barbed wire as an acoustic and spatial material, forming a sonic barrier that reflects on borders, mobility, and the body. Over the past days, readings became a space for shared moments, new encounters and conversations. “Future Visioning: AI Turkish Coffee Reading” is on view and interactive also on the final day of the fair @arenaberlin . repost • @affordableartfairde On display in this year’s Emerging Artist exhibition will be three distinctive artistic positions by @bellabram_ (Bella Bram), @ozcanertek (Özcan Ertek) and @ssoollvveeiigg (Solveig Schmid) – three Berlin-based artists whose conceptual works explore transitions between body, space, material, and perception. Under the title ‘Resonante Zustände – Körper, Material und Wahrnehmung im Übergang’, the exhibition brings together immersive practices that operate in states of in-between: between object and environment, sound and silence, intuition and construction. curated by @hannah_weberheidenfels 1. a short feature recorded during @arselectronica istanbul “data (&) fragility” at zorlu psm, now with subtitles. “Future Visioning” explores human and AI perspectives through the lens of Turkish coffee reading. As participants engage with the installation, exploring the shapes found in the coffee grounds and discovering their symbolic meanings, a rich cultural interpretation emerges. The installation becomes a melting pot of perspectives, bringing people from various backgrounds to share their insights and understanding of these symbols across different cultures. The work aims to promote a greater appreciation for the diversity of human interpretations. and the conversation continues; “future visioning” will be live and interactive again at @affordableartfairde at Arena Berlin between 16-19 April 2026. #futurevisioning #aiturkishcoffeereading #interactiveinstallation #mediaart #turkishcoffee #artandtechnology #humanvsai #arselectronica #arselectronicai̇stanbul #newmediaart
