🌸 Peace Lily: tackles alcohols, acetone, and even mould spores. Thrives in low light, making it perfect for meeting rooms.
🐍 Snake Plant: one of the most effective all-rounders. Removes formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene with minimal care needed.
🪴 Golden Pothos: handles a wide range of VOCs and survives in almost any office condition.
🌱 Rubber Plant: a formaldehyde specialist, and its large leaf surface means more absorption area.
But not only the species you choose matters, here are some other things to keep in mind:

We’re so proud of what we created together with @swisscom at their Zurich West office by integrating greenery! 🌿
As you can see in the pictures, the result is a workspace that genuinely feels alive. From lush greened furniture and room dividers to statement floor plants and shelf arrangements, there’s a huge variety of species in the space. Each one carefully chosen to help people feel comfortable, calm, and inspired at work.
Now the fun part begins: keeping all 750 plants in peak condition! We’re excited for the challenge and wish the Swisscom team lots of joy in their new green workspace. 💚

By combining our existing sensor infrastructure that measures CO₂, humidity, and light, with a lightweight AI model we can now translate plant signals into human-readable messages.
The goal isn’t messages like “needs water”, but full environmental feedback, real-time sentiment, and live developments.
It started as a question from Tomer, our Head of Data: the sensors are already there, so how can we expand our service and leverage their usability?

The new office of Barandun in Zurich’s freshly renovated "Sihlporte" is a beautiful example of sophisticated design rooted in biophilic principles. 🌿✨
With its elegant wall and ceiling mouldings, warm wooden floors, carefully chosen natural materials and colours, the space already feels refined. Our greenery concept adds the finishing touch to make the space even more welcoming.
For the potted plants, we selected statement species with large, deep green leaves, such as the Kentia Palm and Spathiphyllum. The integrated greened elements feature a diverse mix of smaller plants in different shades of green.
Lucie Kopecky, Head of Operations at Barandun, shared: “It wasn’t easy to make our already very nice new office even more beautiful. But thanks to Oxygen at Work, we achieved exactly that: the around 20 plants bring even more life, freshness, and a feel-good atmosphere into our spaces. We are delighted with the great and reliable collaboration!”

Last week we celebrated the opening of our new Lausanne office! 🪴🥳
We rented a bus and the Zurich team took the trip to spend the evening with our Romandie team, even with a special guest 🐕💚
When we arrived at the office, we celebrated with some excellent Lebanese food and drinks! Coming together for moments like these is very important to us. As our team grows these events keep our culture alive and also show them to our new joiners! This time we had the honours of getting to know our new greenery specialist for Romandie: Tifany.

We are joining @tide_oceanmaterial on the Road to 1 Billion Bottles! 🌊💚
For every plant unit we bring into an office, #tide® will collect and repurpose 50 plastic bottles. 🪴
With this cooperation we are taking another step closer to our goal of a circular economy. Most of our plants are enjoying life in pots made from recycled plastics. Now we can support places where discarded plastics might end up. This is especially important since 80% of the plastics in the ocean come from land-based activities and not from what is thrown or lost overboard from ships. 🛳
#tide® is a Swiss-based company that has created a system to collect and sort ocean-bound plastic before it can even reach the sea. The plastic is manually sorted, cleaned, and reintegrated into high-quality recycled materials. One example is a special edition of Handy, the cult-classic dish soap from Migros. This approach creates income opportunities for local communities while strengthening circular supply chains. ♻️
The impact is transparently tracked and independently verified — ensuring measurable environmental and social results.
