So there's going to be a few changes with #Oxjam for 2020.
.
The most important one right now is this instagram account will no longer be the official account of Oxjam UK gigs.
.
Oxfam have decided to not promote this fundraising initiative in house from their social media team
.
So this account will go from an official account to an unofficial account run by supporters and volunteers not affiliated with Oxfam.
.
So what does this mean going forward?
.
1. Less official Oxfam posts (although we will repost from the festival team pages)
.
2. Competitions are unlikely to return (or at least in its current format)
.
3. No enquiries will be forwarded on to Oxfam HQ (but we will direct you)
.
Otherwise its going to be a lot of the same great content 😃👍(but maybe one every 2-3 days rather than daily)
.
Thanks for all your support so far, hopefully we can break the 20k follow mark by the end of the year.

As the 2020 Brit Awards approach us this week, 24 years ago at the 1996 awards held at Earls Court, Jarvis Cocker created one of the iconic moments in recent music history.

Whilst Michael Jackson performed 'Earth Song' on stage, Jarvis took exception to Michael's performance for its '"Jesus like" staging.
.
Fuelled with a some drinks and a burning passion, Jarvis managed to get on stage and them promptly 'waffled from his bottom' and unzipped his top up and down.
.
One of the extras on stage challenged Jarvis and then stage security followed in an all too brief 'Benny Hill chase'.
.
Jarvis was detained by Jackson's security for 2 hours before police arrived.
.
Comedian Bob Mortimer offered to help as he was trained in law but soon realised he couldn't help.
.
Released on bail at 3am, the press lapped up the story and eventually the charges were dropped.
