Coming back from a Traumatic brain injury to win bronze is something I will always cherish. I thought my surfing career was lost but i always kept my eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel and never gave up. Vali and I decided to do the 18hr road trip to bells beach. This is a particularly special pilgrimage for our family. I started doing it about his age with my old man. We decided to throw the @dometic tent in and pick up @pbyrne1 and the boys on the way. We camped for the week and were down the event from sun up to sun down surfing and hunting down signatures and pics with all their favourite @wsl surfers. It was soo good to see everyone. I’ve really missed being at events and it was special seeing my son have the same love for surfing! Thanks for having us @ripcurl fam .. it was like Disneyland for a bunch of surf nerds 😍🙏
We get such a small amount of time with our kids when they’re young! Make the most of it and go explore! School holidays coming up quick.. letss go @dometic
