Not the usual post you’ll see from us, but I definitely feel this one deserves a spot on the feed.
Walking into a midnight pack down to see our items treated like this is very disheartening. It really does put a damper on all the beautiful events we host and leaves us feeling completely deflated.
To enter a venue and see the ball pit physically taken apart with 6000 balls scattered across an entire venue, face paint on every item, a broken slide, high heel puncture holes in the mats is at no point acceptable or is it still “just kids having fun.”
We take pride in the quality of products we provide and to see such disrespect shown to our items has really left us speechless.
A bond being held doesn’t even cover the time we spent collecting balls, in addition to the time that will need to be put into trying to bring the soft play back to life (if it lifts) let alone replaces a broken slide.
The amount of hours that I will need to spend to clean and then leave the soft play out in the sun in attempt to lift the face paint will take multiple days.
When booking with us we state no face paint. Our contract of hire outlines this again, we also leave a sign board stating this again to all guests, to have everything ignored is really just every form of being careless to other people’s belongings.
We literally bring the fun to your event and all we request in return is to respect us, our items and our work. This is across the board to everyone in the events industry. Paying for a service doesn’t give anyone the right to completely destroy them.
The mental toll this industry takes on you is a heavy one. I’ll be a little quiet in the coming days.
All the ‘we’ is in fact just ME! A one woman team and unfortunate events like this do weigh heavy on one person.
