You guys 😭 I’m bawling as I’m sharing this. This piece is the last few years of my life put into a choreography. The song touched me so deeply the first time I heard it, and I said that if I ever performed, it would be one of the songs I would choose and with my life the way it’s been over the last few years. It seemed perfect. I was soooooo freaking nervous. I was literally shaking so hard trying to get through all of the moves, literally vibrating!!! I appreciate so much all of the love and support that I was shown last night, including the cuddle puddle of love from @thebabzilla and @paintings_by_sr right when I left the stage and collapsed to the floor and cried behind the curtain and then when I exited the backstage, another cuddle puddle of tears with @misstattoo83 and @satya_performance_arts
There are no words for how grateful I am for these people and this community 😭 I love you all so much thank you for bringing me back to life. And thank you to @maee.does.hair for the fresh haircut to make it feel just as good because my hair was definitely its own character in this story. Thank you so much to every single person that gave me love and hugs afterwards. I’m so still on cloud nine and shaking from yesterday. Tried something new… took some jeans cut em up and made this wrap skirt I made the ties from pieces of the jeans as well and hand embroidered the pockets and waist. Two more days until my first performance @bloom_movement_artistry 😳 I’ve been working so hard to get my Choreo in my body and getting out of my head. so I haven’t really been to class and I haven’t really been noodling as much in open gym and have just been focusing focusing, focusing at open gym on my piece. I was looking back on noodles from previous weeks. Can’t wait to get in there and get crazy after the showcase, but I’m really looking forward to performing as well 🫣 even though I’m terrified as hell. About Mo: I’m a full time artist who’s always been drawn to the circus and similar things, since I was a kid I was always so magical to me. I have literally grown up having dreams where I was flying consistently over the years. I’ve always said if I had a super power I’d fly. Working with Katie and Sarah since before they opened bloom at previous venues, also being a part of bloom festival for years selling my artwork, they have tried to talk me into flying with them but I never felt ready. My mom passed in 2022 and I absolutely fell apart, but my partner, Tim pushed me hard to try aerial when I was at my lowest. He saw the joy the Bloom studio and it’s people brought me. So after two years of learning , exploring and playing at bloom I have found my lost self . I have found joy again, my passion with my art is starting to come back, I’ve been given opportunities that lil kid mo would loose her mind over at the studio. I feel like this is where I’ve always meant to be. This aerial studio is more than a gym it is a community and I am so grateful for every single person who’s come into my life since I’ve started flying. Thank you bloom my mom would be so grateful as am I. Thank you for helping me work through so much and get myself back again.
