May is almost upon us!!! And that means Whole Earth Festival!!!!! This will be my 5th year vending and I am so stoked to be back! Come out and experience the magic of this UC Davis Tradition!

I attended my first Whole Earth in 2015 and to now be vending it for 5 years now is wild! Whole Earth is healing, it creates joy, and it brings people together to create family!
Everywhere you look at the festival there is laughter, kindness, and generosity! This festivals roots are in creating a better world for all of us to live in. Yes it does that through uplifting sustainable practices and educating folks about what is going on in the world but it also fosters what it means to be a community and I think that is the most important thing right now! People coming together and giving of themselves to achieve a common goal!
It is an honor and utmost joy to be a part of this event in anyway! Thank you all for being a part of it with me!

Through a blend of natural and industrial mediums, Olive and Kennedy’s artistic styles combine to create something that should make you feel equally adorned and empowered.
Queerness is woven through everything Olive and Kennedy create. This collection is no different. Flowers are often assigned to feminity and chains tend to be considered jewelry “for men,” Kennedy and Olive push past the boundaries assigned to their mediums and create from a space of inclusion and euphoria that they both feel connects deeply to their own gender expressions.
WEF brought us together years ago and it is such an honor to get to share this special collection with you all at the festival this year!

New Anatomical Floral Print just in time for @wholeearthfestival ! This print joins my lungs and heart prints (swipe to see those designs), the anatomical floral collections is ever growing!
This brain design was actually the first in this series, the second photo is the original design I did in 2020 and now 6 year later I have given it new life! It is so fun to see how my style has changed but my interests sure haven’t haha
This piece is titled “Flowers on the Brain” and each lobe of the brain is represented by a different botanical.

California Poppies are probably my most requested flower at markets!
This update is just the beginning of seeing more poppies in my work.
One of the difficulties with pressing poppies is they lose their orange color during the process so I have chosen to add that back in after pressing, with alcohol inks, so they still have that vibrancy you see when they are fresh. This is the only flower I currently do this with.

Happy Earth Day!!!
One of my favorite ways to honor the land and nature is to increase the population of native plants by growing them in my garden! Half of what I grow in my garden is California Native plants.
Not only does this help increase food and habitat for pollinators and other native fauna, but it reduces my water use in the garden and can make tending to my land easier. Native plants are adapted for our climate, and environment so they mostly take care of themselves once established! My biggest maintenance task is pruning because they are so happy that they are growing beyond the footprint of my yard.
Because of the beauty, resilience, and fortitude of these gorgeous plants that call California home, I get to create my art for you!
To celebrate Earth Day and National Native Plant month, I am having a website update featuring only California Native Plants! Prints, stickers, jewelry, wall art, and more will all be available on my website today at 12pm PST!

It will be an indoor event at @flowerfistmarket and hosted by @loser.town916 !!! The event is 4-8pm!
