One World Academy will officially field a national-level High School Boys’ Basketball team competing in the 2026–27 school year — and we are building it the right way.
We are proud to welcome Coach Ed Haskins as our Athletic Director & Head Coach. With 20+ years of experience, Coach Haskins has proven himself at every level — winning multiple Washington State High School Championships as a head coach with an elite 213–34 record (87% winning percentage), and going on to serve as an NCAA Division I assistant coach at Washington State University. His NBA alumni speak for themselves: Jamal Crawford, Isaiah Thomas, Nate Robinson, Tari Eason, Jaylen Nowell, Tony Wroten and Malachi Flynn — to name a few.
Coach Haskins doesn’t just develop players. He develops people — through leadership, accountability, and discipline that extends far beyond the court.
Paired with the NCAA-approved academic program of Texas Sports Academy, our student-athletes will be fully prepared for success at the next level — both on the court and in the classroom.

2031 Jeffery Bedford 5’8” Point Guard (OWA Basketball) Bedford continues to dominate weekend after weekend. His ability to control the pace of the game and orchestrate offense all while playing full court man to man defense. Bedford has a crafty dribble, along with creative finishes around the rim and runs the pick and roll with high basketball IQ. By far one of the top PG’s in Texas.
2031 OWA Basketball is loaded with talent from top to bottom. The group plays with a high level of skill, toughness, and basketball IQ well beyond their age. Their guard play stands out offensively with the way they execute sets, while defensively the entire team competes with relentless energy and effort.
2031 Ju Ju Hill set the tone offensively, showcasing his ability to create and score at a high level. Jeffery Bedford was outstanding on both ends of the floor once again, continuing the dominant two-way play he’s displayed all summer. 2032 Trey Johnson also made a strong impact, contributing valuable plays offensively.

Gulf Coast Legacy and OWA stole the show this past weekend in Houston, both programs showcasing an impressive level of poise and dynamic skill sets. What stood out most was the structure and discipline on both ends of the floor, with strong coaching and well-organized offensive and defensive sets.
For groups this young, it was clear they already understand what “real” basketball looks like.
The head-to-head matchup between 2031 Jeffery Bedford and 2031 Jordyn Franklin was the highlight of the weekend. Bedford is a crafty lead guard who can both score and facilitate at a high level one of the more under-the-radar point guards in the country. Franklin, on the other hand, continues to establish himself as one of the top guards nationally. He consistently gets to his spots with ease, finishes at the rim through contact, and pairs a strong frame with high-level IQ and a polished handle.
Both players project as high-level college prospects with bright futures ahead.
