DIRECTING SHOWREEL || 2024
It's a year late, but now that Horse is finally out there for everyone to see, I'm happy to share my directing showreel! Featuring all the projects I've worked on BEFORE 2025 (No footage from the Hero because it's still being colour-graded).
Looking back, I feel so honoured to have directed all of these shorts. Tonally, they're all so different, but despite that, each one has taught me a valuable lesson, which has allowed me to improve and push myself even further.
Compared to who I was three years ago, when I had never directed a proper short film before, I now feel completely confident in the types of stories I want to tell and the dynamics I can deploy with both actors and my crew to bring them to life.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in these projects! Whether it was my first or most recent, you have all played a vital role in my journey so far.

The Gang Visits Wales 🏴🏴
What a weekend! Our second annual get together post-uni took us to (surprisingly) sunny Wales, where we took on Snowdon, played a traditional game of Midnight Ninja, and also… browsed a train museum?🗻🚂
Unfortunately we couldn’t ride the mini train because it fell over, but we did climb a mountain!
Always a pleasure! Let’s see where next year takes us…
48 Hour Film Challenge || Stills/ BTS
This weekend just gone, I had the pleasure of participating in the @filmsussex 48 Hour Film Challenge, in collaboration with @crossingthescreen Film Festival
A 48 hour challenge is one of the most adrenaline packed challenges a filmmaker can take on, and this challenge really pushed me to my limits (staying up till 4am editing on Saturday was NOT fun 😂) but thankfully I had the support of a motivated and supportive cast and crew, who helped bring this simple story to life.
Shot in the beautiful South Downs (with the last minute permission of South Downs Media Centre, thank you so much!!!) Disconnecting is a short story about burnout, following a cosplay influencer who retreats into nature, and must decide whether the views are worth losing their love for their hobby.
Special shout out to our lead actor and irl cosplayer @be_.hives who let us use one of his real cosplays, to help make the story feel more authentic and personal to them.
As a part of the challenge, the film will be screening at the 10th Annual Crossing the Screen Film Festival in Eastbourne on Thursday the 7th of May at 6pm. Please go check it out and support the festival if you’re in the area!

FINALIST || THE HERO
We’re excited to share that The Hero has been selected as a Finalist for the Big Fridge International Film Festival! Thank you to the panel at @bigfridgefilmfestival for selecting our film!
If you want to support the festival, the screenings will take place on the 28th and 29th of March (this weekend!!!) at the Curzon Cinema in Soho.

FIVE LAMPS SCREENING || THE HERO
On the 25th of March, The Hero is returning to the Midlands! This time it’s heading to Derby, to be screened alongside four other stunning short films with connections to the East Midlands at @fivelampsfilms

FOUR AWARDS & SCREENING || THE HERO
The Hero is continuing its early festival run with four awards from @londonfilmclubuk for Best Drama/ Best Director / Best Production Design & Best Sound.
We owe a massive thanks to our amazing sound mixer and composer @oni_yuen whose incredible work tied the piece together.
We also must thank the amazing @gladragscostumes and @rosiespencerr_ who provided the stunningly realistic costumes which helped sell the look of the film, without their generosity and help this film wouldn’t have been possible.
If you want to see the incredible work accomplished by our crew on the big screen, The Hero will be having its first screening on the 25th of February, at the COLAB Tower in London. Tickets are available through London Film Clubs Instagram page, or through the link shared in our stories.
